black 32GB LTE Preparing for Shipment

Ordered mine the second the keynote was done and the site came up. Got the order through before the took the store down for the second time. Got a confirmation within 5 minutes of order. Just went to my apple account and saw it was preping for shipment.

I ordered a 2nd 32 wifi the night of the announcement and it is still sitting in the processing order state.

im in cambridge, ontario. ordered around 630 pm march 7th. got a confirm about 6 hours later. order still says processing. 32gb white.

I have a question about that, everything I am reading from Apples says it generally will say "delivers 16-20" or "ships march 19" but mine says "delivers march 19".

According to the zone map I am well within Zone 1. Is it likely that I'll recieve it on the 16th? Im just wondering because mine is the only one I have seen with that specific delivery date.

If yours says ships march 19th you are not in the first batch. Those who will get it on the 16th are the ones who says 16-20 and live in Zone 1

No mine says "Delivers March 19" which is why I thought it was odd. Its been shipped now but I havent checked the status will do when I get home as I can't recall the details.

I just spoke with Apple. They advised me that the reason some orders are still "Processing Items" is because they are not engraved. The ones that are "Preparing for Shipment" or "Shipped" are (for the most part) engraved, therefore shipping from China. Whereas non-engraved units are already in warehouses in Canada and will start moving next week. Zone 1 will receive their orders on the 16th barring any unforeseen shipping delays (weather, etc.).

this makes a lot of sense. apple so far seems like they've been on the ball with this launch and well prepared. thanks for the info!

Mine is now preparing too, I ordered on launch night at about 7:30 EST.

32gb black wifi

Only my smart case has shipped not my ipad :( i wonder if its because of the sim card i ordered with it...

Update: preparing for shipment :)

I really don't need to own an iPad 1, iPad 2, Playbook, and an iPad 3 but I'm pretty sure I'll be lining up at the local Futureshop (hangs head in shame).

:D

Mine just switched to "Preparing for Shipment" too! Yay! Now just have to wait until Friday... Here's hoping some will slip through early!

Still showing as "delivers March 19-20" not sure why though as it has already left Alaska en route to here. I'm hoping that might be wrong. Ordered withing 3 hours of close of press conference, and live within an hour of Ottawa.

My launch day order for 32GB wifi model has now changed to 'prepared for shipping'. Hopefully will arrive on launch day.

Has anyone who ordered a non-engraved iPad been notified that their iPad has actually shipped? Asking because mine's still saying "Preparing for Shipment."

Ordered around 4ish on March 7
Just checked online and my order has flipped to preparing for shipment. It wasn't this afternoon when I checked.
