Still waiting. I'm at work, over in SE near Chinook. A brown truck drove by this morning and I was hoping, but it was not meant to be.
Our Shipper/Receiver said UPS normally drops off around 2 PM each day, so one can only hope!
I know that I am wayyyy behind you guys... My iPad that was engraved heading for Vancouver now has a location scan at mount hope. Just through I let the people who are stuck there to know.

I can't imagine that we won't get it on Monday. I just don't get why since it seems they could have easily made it to our locations I guess it just gives the actual trucks a bit more time by delaying for a few days.
They tried to deliver mine at about 1:30pm. I am not sure whether I should cross my fingers and hope that they try again either after 5:30pm when I get home (or on Saturday) or just tell them I will come get it at the facility... although I don't want to drive to Concord.

Yeah it is! I'm so excited for them! But this wait is killing me! Worst part is its not even mine. I called ups (I don't know if you saw that post) and they told me that the delivery date is given when it reaches the local depot. But I got a delivery date when is was "in transit to mount hope" but it went to buffalo, then the date dissapeared. It said Monday. Ups is no help in this case because of how many iPad shipments they have.

Try giving UPS a call, the first time I talked to them they said I could pick it up from Concord (which is quite far for me as well) but then the driver called me and told me he'd be leaving it at a UPS store that's walkable for me.
At least your (grand)parents both know how to use an iPad. Was considering hopping into the store to see if they had a 16 GB left, play around with that until my 64 came, then give the 16 to my parents. But they wouldn't know how to use it.
Hopeless in Mount Hope
This is my grandparent's first, I need to teach them how to use it. But I did let them use my iPad 2 and they seem to be able to grasp how to use it. My grandma was searching YouTube by herself. SUCCESS!
My parents can barely grasp the concept of a touchscreen. But what took the cake was my aunt. I was showing her photos on my iPod Touch and she saw how I was swiping from photo to photo. Later, when I was showing something to her on my MBP, she kept on trying to swipe and tap on the notebook screen.

So if there is a failed delivery attempt does UPS bring it to the closest UPS store (like Canada post) or the main depot? I'm in Calgary so there are lots of stores around.

Mac Mac - I feel sorry for you! I tried so hard to get my grandparent's to use a real computer. That was painful. The iPad is a great tool for them so I wish you luck! It really is the best tool for the older generation. I know it will take some time, but it will be a lot easier than using a computer. I live fairly close to my grandparent's so it's easy for me to help them. I don't know how easy it will be for you though.
Six hours.... Speechless.
I just called and was told they only attempt one delivery per day, so I either have to wait until Monday or go pick it up at their main centre as they won't leave an Apple product at a UPS store for some reason.
I'm in Toronto though... but I assume the policy is the same where you live.
