More money for workers...and then they pay union dues. 🙃
If I have to pay five dollars to get ten dollars back, it's a good investment. I think this is the idea. The net-net is good for workers.

Amazing how many working people seem to enjoy not having collective bargaining power...

I would love to see the Communist Party's response to unionization efforts LOL
The Chinese Communist Party is about as aptly named as Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Lots of capital accumulation going on in China for a single-party communist state.

You can blame them for stubbing your toe too

House.
Senate.
WH.
All Democrat controlled. All of them !

Lots of people are seeing through the excuses for this complete failure of an administration. But a D next to their name makes you defend at any cost literally any cost name your price!
Tell me you don't know the definition of cloture without telling me you don't know...

Agreed. Burger employees earn a living wage here in Switzerland. Kiosks came here before the US had them.

Number of personnel appears same.

An gain for store owners is most payment is cashless so the downsides, inefficiencies and costs of handling cash are significantly reduced.
Those kiosks are so dirty (with germs) because people don't wash their hands.

Quick American Politics lesson since you seem confused. The WH is checked by the house and senate. The dems do not hold a senate majority. Therefore, the mantra of "the D's are in power" is not true, because many, many, many bills that were meant to help deal with things like gas prices have not passed because they were not supported by republicans.

The only time in American politics when anything is really accomplished is when one party controls the house, senate and WH. This is currently not the case.

Thank you for confirming that democrats are not just useless (but that would be the bare minimum to attribute to them), but imo destructive seeing as how they do control all three. bravo!

A few are still holding out and loving the gaslighting but the rest of us are left wondering are we better off now than we were even a year and a half ago? It doesn’t seem so…

I mean, we no longer have a president that is trying to undermine our republic and turn this country into an autocracy. Biden, mediocre as he is, hasn't even come close to that level of appalling behavior. Truly the lesser of two evils.

Really? We are expected to work like dogs for little. I find it strange how so many working people are always on the corporations side, instead of the workers side (getting a fair wage and benefits).

For generations now, Republicans and conservative political pundits have appealed to people's sense of self-superiority by villainizing the poor (welfare queens, lazy bums, no skills, etc) and idolizing the wealthy (job creators, hard workers, American dream, etc). They've pushed the narrative that poor people are unworthy and all of their problems are self-inflicted, so why should the government help them? Why should anyone want to help them? On the other hand, we can all have a chance to be just like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk if we simply work hard and vote Republican, like real Americans do. They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and did it all themselves, so can you!

As you can see in this thread, the conservative strategy has worked nearly perfectly. It's given millions of Americans an entire class of people to look down on so they can feel better about themselves. The "**** you, I got mine" mentality is stronger than ever.

'Undermining our republic' you realize you aren't actually saying anything or making a real argument, but Im sure you feel good writing it. And that's all that really matters right?

Lots of Republican politicians are complete and utter trash too! In a sense worse because spineless... at least Democrats are 'all in' on destroying the country they put their heart and soul in it. Not difficult to say (that lots of Republicans are trash) because not difficult to see - they vote and act the same way as Democrats their messaging is just different.

BUT the few that are good may just turn the Titanic around if it hasn't already sunk beyond repair which I question.

I love these boogey man republican rhetorics, they're relentless to cover for complete failure! Democrats promised everything and delivered on NOTHING and all your screeching aint gonna change that.

And you've got it all twisted. Democrats are the party of the elite!

They couldn't care less you cant afford groceries or gas, in fact they are loving it! Their strategy is no strategy because this is what was intended.

Lego? Insulin? Windmills? Hearing aid… just to name a few.

So you’re saying that the reason why you in the US cannot afford it is due to your military expenses? Ok. Got it.

So all ancient stuff, got it.

Strange that unionizing and protecting the workers' rights has always been such a big deal in the US. Here in Sweden it's a rule of thumb.
Americans don't want to be Europeans. We've been trying to tell y'all that since 1776, but you just don't get it.

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. This applies to people, governments, and union leaders. Always starts out as a good idea but then it all goes to their heads. In an effort to justify the union’s existence and also their charges, they start demanding stupid salary increases and defending the indefensible.

Yep, this discussion is over. If you can't acknowledge the basic facts of what happened before, during, and after January 6, 2021, I can't trust your judgment on anything else.

Saying words doesn't make it true. Trump was ridiculous, but Biden has wrought more tangible and palpable destruction upon this country in his short time in office than Trump ever could. Trump offended people on a minute by minute basis, but he wasn't purposely trying to run this county into the ground. This isn't a lesser of two evils. This is far worse than that. They are both foolish. But ignoring the destruction Biden is doing makes you not of this planet, because even Democrats are tearing into him. A lot of Democrats in fact. At least those that aren't living at home with their parents. Real people living in the real world supporting real families are struggling. This isn't a one-party sided feud anymore (the fact that it ever was is asinine and destructive and divisive and childish). The entire country is wondering what in the world is going on with this man ... and this administration ... because it's now affecting everyone equally.

This isn't one-sided. And you have sadly and frighteningly convinced yourself that it is. And you want to talk about the American dream? Do you know where my support was from the government when my business that I started all on my own began nose diving during the pandemic? Nowhere. Do you know why? Because Biden said I'm the wrong color and gender. I've never said a nasty word to another purpose of a differing race or sex or ideology. But that doesn't matter because according to Democrats, I was born racist and evil. The Democrats in office (I say in office because you can't put everyone into a box like you're happy to do) are literally open about their corruption now. They aren't hiding it. They're literally telling you about it and you're still looking the other way. There needs to be a new party system ... or a new government ... because this country is being run into the ground by morons on both sides. The Constitution says we can start over if the government has gone sour. And it has. But nothing will happen, because we're living in the TikTok age.

Right on cue like people do when they've run out of steam, you are making bad faith arguments about things I literally have not said so you want me to 'debate' your imaginary version of my arguments?

Not gonna do it - not worth my time. Good day. Hope you enjoy debating yourself
