Siri worked for like 5 minutes for me, and then every other time it said it can't connect to network ..Anyone else???

I have been unable to use Siri since I received the phone Friday morning. Hasn't worked even once. Just says cannot connect to the network or something dumb like that.

I'd say this thing is a bust until apple gets more servers on line.

I've had issues connecting with Siri, but only when I'm on 3G as opposed to Wifi. I'm wondering how everyone is connecting, and your data speeds are?

If I have to be connected to wifi in order for this to work, it makes it completely useless while driving, which is where it would be most useful.

It works fine on 3g; If you are having problems try going into settings>General>Reset and click "reset network settings"

It works fine on 3G if your 3G speeds are up to par. Verizon and Sprint users have been complaining for the past day how bad the speeds are (Sprint especially).

Wife's Siri works, mine not so much

my wife and I each have a 4S, her Siri is working fine, mine, is not. My thought is our information is stored on different server farms and one is having issues and the other isn't. Only way I can explain it. I imagine this is why people are reporting that turning Siri on and off is "fixing" the issue. The personal data is cleared and rebuilt on a random accessible server farm. I would like Apple to comment and advise however...

couple things

So, a couple things about siri.

I DO like it and think it will only get better over time. It COULD be a new/additional input/output path for using the phone/devices but will have to get much broader/better in order for the adoption to grow. But, for me at least (and when the severs are working) it works pretty well.

I DON'T like the fact that some of the precursor voice control stuff is now gone, I can't SIMPLY dial the phone with voice without having siri working or connectivity. That seems to be a STEP BACKWARDS

When using siri, the notifications center doesn't work and no messaging/notifications pop-up on the screen. Not sure why this has to be that way, maybe it is a bug or designed that way.

We ALSO don't really know HOW MUCH DATA this is using to send the voice snippet BACK to the servers, and then send the data back. Using siri MIGHT end up being a data hog in the end akin to lots and lots of messaging. Certainly someone is working on crunching these numbers now.

I really really want/need to be able to have it search the device and launch/do stuff.

turn on bluetooth
open navigation
open calendar
got to email

etc., why can't it do this simple stuff?

Boyfriend's Siri is working but not mine. Says could not connect network!

So I did what people type what to do like try reset network settings or reboot or whatever it told me to try. Then again iPhone 4s just came out... So overloading server lines maybe like people say on here. My boyfriend's Siri voice is working just fine. Mine just started not working 3 to 4 hours ago. Still not working saying like "I cannot connect to network" but his work... I wonder if it's different from colors? His is black and mine is the white one. His iPhone 3G was transfer to iPhone 4S along with his phone number. I just got mine added to his new line with new number, so I was wondering if that's the case. Issue that way causes to do that for new phone line or white iPhone 4s? I read someone's post about how the husband's Siri didn't work but his wife's worked. I was wondering if his iPhone was white color! I'm from the west coast of USA! Seattle!!

Mine works wonderful on wireless - 100% of the time.

Siri working on 3G? - 0% of the time.

This is not a launch day or server problem, since I have *never* gotten the network failure message while on wireless.

This is a software problem somehow with 3G. I have not reset the network stack yet, I guess that is the next stop.

I love the functionality and the dictation performance on text messages, but if it doesn't work from my car that will make me pretty disappointed.

My Siri is working now! So I guess some server were down! I called apple and they told me they have nothing to do with the phone company's network with Siri. Funny how they wouldn't know that when they created Siri XD

I haven't been able to get Siri to connect to the network for the past 4-5 hours. I don't know what's up with it. I'm using my home wifi, and all other network traffic is moving as usual.

I cant get SIR to recognize "Work Mobile" or "Work Cell". It says there is no mobile number or no work number.

Any ideas?

I was able to get my iPhone 4 to recognize "H-mobile" but Siri will not.

I get same message. Found no solution.
