Quit your whining
I am an ipad 3 ("new ipad") owner and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon... I don't feel and don't think I am shafted by apple... If this had been the PC or another similar market and some company had released an update a few months after because new technology was available nothing would have been said. But because it was apple and people got used to one device a year they get all pissed off...
Only people who bought the 3 a month before the announcement got shafted, maybe (and I think if you bought it within 2 weeks you could return it). Otherwise buy what you need or want when you need or want it... If you want the latest/greatest wait and get it day one, or wait for the next one, or shut up and make your own. Oh you can't well, calm down and enjoy your ipad, it still does all the same stuff it did when you got it, and it you bought it day one, it does more.... And iOS 7 adds even more. Maybe not everything, but more then it did when you bought it. iOS 7 doesn't stop it from doing what you bought it for originally.
