Given that I use 20GB, and only fill up my 32GB when I fill it up with movies for flying, I'll probably stick with the 32GB.

32GB is my sweet spot, but it's really time Apple made it the base model and dropped the 16GB. The flash memory they use is dirt cheap now and to charge $100 to double the memory is getting more and more ridiculous with every new release. The price of 16GB flash has dropped year after year and the prices of entry level iPhones stay high.

Bite the bullet, spend an extra few dollars per unit, and improve your base model offerings with 32GB and you'll still reap the same margins as a few years ago when 16GB flash was worth what 32GB flash is now.

Apple would probably benefit with more music and app sales if a larger portion of their user base has more storage to work with also.

I usually get 32GB or 64GB but I might get 16GB this time. The reason is with iTunes Match and iCloud Photo Library (released for iOS 8) there's no need to have a ton of storage space on your phone. I recently got a 16GB rMini and I still have plenty of space since I use iTunes Match and iCloud Photo Library.

As I don't store music on my phone, 32Gb is the perfect amount for me. 16 is way too constrictive and 64+ is a waste of my money.

128GB for me if it is released - and why not; Apple makes an extra hundred off of me and it cost then only $8 extra!

Apple make all it profit margins on the iPhone storage capacities. It like a sure thing. No way that Tim Cook would okay that - the Board Of Directors would probably take away his stock options as punishment!

Since my I-Pod classic is getting old I would probably get the 64-128 gigs, but that depends on the Price. Especially since I want to get the 5.5 inch model.

Depends on what the price is like, but probably 64. I have a 32 now and it's too small so 64 will be my baseline, but I may go for 128 if it's available and not horrendously expensive.

I have a Nokia Lumia 925 16gb and it's not enough for me, although I have a lot of things in the cloud I still like having a fair amount of music locally for those times when my battery is low or reception is bad so I'd get a 32gb.

Phone storage is a mixed bag for me, if it's there I use it but if not I really don't have a problem (got along perfectly fine on an 8gb Nexus 4 for a year and still had 2gb free). I can get along just fine on 8gb or 16gb as my phone needs are relatively simple; Email, phone calls, texting, social networks and sports with a game like temple run thrown in there. Photos are automatically backed up and synced with Google and my computer no matter what amount of storage I have so that isn't an issue. And when I want to listen to music I stream it. If I know streaming isn't an option I have an iPod.

That being said, I would go with 32gb just because.

64GB or Go Home!!! And if they offer a 128GB option at the same price point as the current 64GB option I'll go for that one.

32gb , 16gb doesn't cut it for me anymore and I don't even store music on my iphone

I hope they will even offer a 128GB iPhone. Of all the predictions about the iPhone 6, I have yet to hear anything about a possible storage increase.

A trillion kagillion gigabytes!

If there is still an 8GB option after the iPhone 6 is out I think that's just obnoxious of Apple. Flash memory is dirt cheap.
Not only is it cheap, but anything lower than 32 GB is a pain for the customers. You should not even offer the choice of such a painful experience. Buying an iPhone should mean you get a premium experience. 8 GB or 16 GB does not cut it for a lot of people. Especially 8 GB is just cruel.

I was really hoping the 5s would introduce 32GB as the minimum amount of storage. Now I am hoping that the 6 will do that.

I was hoping that too, but I think we both will be disappointed. Why?

1. Apple introduced an 8 GB 5C, which means they can use that as their entry level phone just like they are doing with the 4S right now. Considering pricing is relative, I suspect capacities and pricing of the other iPhones will be similar to the current pricing scheme.

2. They introduced iCloud Photos. While it sounds cool, it's also meant to free up space on the devices by keeping a low resolution sample by default for viewing on your iPhone. So they recognize photos taking up a lot of memory, but they simply offer cloud storage as an alternative, which makes me think they won't increase the device storage.

Yeah, I'm not going to hold my breath in anticipation for more base storage.

I'd be surprised if they did do this. In this day and age of using the phone for shooting pictures, videos and lots of apps. Its kind of crazy not to make the 32GB model the base model, but I'm not holding out hope.
