There's a theory going around that airtags have been ready to go since last year with iOS 13, but Apple delayed it due to the threat of antitrust lawsuits from Tile. So Apple may be waiting for the current scrutiny to die down a little. and also thinking how they can work around this issue (like allowing third party bluetooth trackers to be part of their "find my" network).

These delays are an absolute joke now, becoming the new AirPower.

I'm waiting since the release of AirPods a lossless wireless Over-Ear Headphone and many years were not enough for them to release.

AirTags is also delayed since many years ago.

Honestly, if neither of these headphones support lossless audio over AptX or something, I will not be shelling out anymore money for AirPods.

I could fill a book with all the Apple Products that need to be updated or introduced.
Maybe for 2021, apples should just skip out on releasing new iPhones, and focus on some other things.
An actually usable Apple TV remote. An actual powerful 13 inch MacBook Pro. A new iMac design, seeing as the current one hasn’t been touched in eight years. A cheaper HomePod. A new magic mouse with USB see, and a better charging placement. A new magic keyboard and magic trackpad as well, with back lighting and USB-C.
A new iPad Mini. Let’s get that design out of 2012, shall we?
A new Mac Mini.
A powerful 12 inch MacBook with super long battery life.

Will the Over-Ear Headphone have multi-room coverage via wifi or HomePods?
That is what I'm waiting for, lossless is useless for my podcasts.

It’s true who needs air tags now with what’s going on
I have 2 high end, carbon frame bicycles that I want to put AirTags on. I live in small town (less than 40,000 people) but we still have about 300 bicycles stolen per year. The need for AirTags may increase when people start traveling more but there are still plenty of use cases for them today.

The notion that Prosser is some overwhelmingly inaccurate leaker is such nonsense. You guys are ridiculous.

Was about to say. He's had some high-profile misses but if it's enough for you to start ignoring everything he says, you probably need to stop taking the concept of Mac rumours so seriously.

Quite the deja vu from the things that we were expecting to be announced in the previous event but didn't either.

All this relentless hype machine: marketing, hashtags, twitter icons, bespoke fav animation, wallpapers, AR noodly effects, and for what? Two mildly iterative devices upon existing iterations, showered in scripted talking points and forced enthusiasm.

It's no stretch to say that marketing runs Apple right now. Take it away, Steve:

We’re still following Jon Prosser rumors?
Yeah man! I am! I’m still following this:

from May, dropping “any time”, maybe Apple did keep it a secret from him but still got hope.

AirTags seem to be the new AirPower... Except this time they were careful enough not to present it to the public before having it ready.

So annoyed by the failure to release the AirTags. I have put off replacing my Tiles for far too long now. They just keep pushing them back. I'm worried these will be like the infamous AirPower they never released, but I also don't want to buy Tiles now with the release supposedly happening in the next few months.

Tim, can we take a break from including prosser in MacRumors content? Why does he keep showing up, when he isn't adding anything that can't be speculated here in the forum?

If we can't get agreement to leave him out for now, can we get a benchmark for how many more inaccuracies before he will be?

LMAOOOO!!!! March! Yo, that U1 is about as useful as an extra rib. $1 Trillion and they cant even make a Tile. I mean Im a huge Apple fan, and I love their products, but we've been burned with these "future oriented features" so many times. I remember when I got my 2010 MBP with Thunderbolt. 7 years later I finally plugged in a monitor. Lol.

Yeah this is the downfall of Apple. No innovation and even when they try they are failing miserably. Yes one can say the pandemic is at fault but we all know that’s a lie. They are missing Jobs passion and leadership for sure.

They must be real magical to be more costly than that of Klipsch, B&W, B&O, Sony, and others that have been leading the industry for many years.

These brands have yet to release a pair of BT ANC over-ear headphones which frequency response doesn't measure like cr...p so I'd say that magic doesn't need to be involved, just good engineering, some degree of caring, and some form of adhesion to the user preferences research that's been developed in the last decade as far as headphones are concerned should be enough.

I mean, this is garbage :

No need to convolute iPhone 12's big announcement. Few left over product announcement will be in November including Apple Silicon based MAC. Interesting Apple split one big product announcement into multiple and that can be norm going forward.

I have many expectations from my cans, ANC is usually not a priority for me. I also really love my P7s (Edit: not the px7) so to each his own I guess.
