What the hell are those circles in the press release if not air tags ?🤪

This guy, honestly! He's just jumping on board the same train!

March, what a load of nonsense. He plucked that date out of thin air.

oh, you mean the same AirTags as a product train that’s been talked ad naseum for the past 2-3yrs now?!!!!??

AirTags will not debut as a product! It’s NOT a product. It’s a technology that is already in:

AirPods Pro
iPhone 11 Pro
And several other products.

it’s the technology in the U1 chip and the products already using it. It’s not to compete with another product by another company. It’s a technology used to track our Apple products, not your dog or your purse or your car. It’s not a product using GPS or it’s own battery.

if this was a product it would’ve launched 2yrs ago - it’s small, very cost effective and easy to mass produce and the back end infrastructure is already there. It would NOt take Apple this long. It’s simply not Apple’s focus.

it’s the technology imbedded into existing and upcoming products, using FindMy infrastructure and the software within Apple’s existing product lineup and ecosystem.
🤦‍♂️

How does it feel being wrong? Even Apple has confirmed their existence.

599 for headphones? Bahahaha

I suspect those who are ‘laughing’ at the price, either probably can’t afford the Studios or are not to ‘target demographic’ for these headphones.

We don’t know exactly what technology is embedded Into the Studios at the ‘rumored’ price point, but for those who probably interested are specific with materials, sound quality or just in general who are audiophiles, Will find that $600 really isn’t asking that much given Apple usually makes their products unique enough separating away from the competition. Not to mention, if you look at some of the competition, B&O as a model that starts at $800.

Hardly, I have a 2k fold 2 so no money isn't an issue here but seeing as xm4 are 300 odd and chances are won't be as good as those sound wise this is badly overpriced

350 is more reasonable

How does it feel being wrong? Even Apple has confirmed their existence.

“REFERENCED” in a support video. We’re now on a more recent iOS version and yet, still, 6 months later, there is NO evidence of this within the production OS. No real physical hardware leaks of the product just some rendering of a puck.

so how wrong am I do you really think and believe I am? Hmmm

but seeing as xm4 are 300 odd and chances are won't be as good as those sound wise this is badly overpriced

Two things:

1.) The XM4’s are actually closer to $400, they are certainly not ‘$300’.

2.) I don’t know how you could say ‘chances are they won’t be as good as those (XM4’s) sound’, when you have no idea what specifications the studios even have, let alone not even being compared to the competition yet. So you’re just projecting.

Knowing Apple, (and given the engineering of the sound behind the HomePod), I suspect the studios will have sound quality to be on par with the competition

Honestly, this is correct - $600 for headphones isn't unchartered territory - but if they really wanted to move the market, they announce that they can do a lossless codec (ALAC) over bluetooth with these headphones, and that would truly be a quantum leap in bluetooth headphones.

Air Pods Studio at the rumored prices would have to have exceptional sound and they very well might. Question is are they worth the money???

AirTags - the new AirPower 2.0 Vapourware

I doubt it. I honestly believe that most people wouldn’t get the use out of it and the hype train wouldn’t be there. Who’s going to pay x dollars subscription a month when they aren’t leaving there houses

As if this chancer has one never mind "three separate sources"

Unless by sources, he actually means Kang, LovetoDream and Gurman.

If headphones will reach mass production oct 20th.. why would they not announce them in the October 13 event and and have a release date later in October..? rather than a lame press release for a brand new product.
As for AirTags... whats the reason for the 5 month delay.. or are they just pulling this date out of the air.

This made me laugh hahaha 🤣

mita making a few ppl laugh, glad I could entertain yet still no sign of AirTags beyond an internal troubleshooting icon in a nine production OS. A hardware rumores almost 3yrs now and which a chip and software for Apple’s products have already begun or soon will offer the same feature.

go figure which is more likely ;)

I have 2 high end, carbon frame bicycles that I want to put AirTags on. I live in small town (less than 40,000 people) but we still have about 300 bicycles stolen per year. The need for AirTags may increase when people start traveling more but there are still plenty of use cases for them today.
I had a great racing bike stolen once and it still pains me to think about. Would you hide it inside the frame or something? Seems like if it was visible the theives would just strip it off immediately.

There is no way I am paying $350 for a pair of Apple headphones.

For me, it depends on features and quality. I put down over $300 for a pair of Grado open-backed bluetooth headphones last year and they sound great over bluetooth and insanely great when you connect them with a cord. But they're open-backed so they let in all outside noise and are thus useless anywhere but a quiet room. I also have a pair of Bose QuietComfort which are awesome for noise-cancellation but kind of "meh" for sound quality.

If Apple were to put out a pair of headphones that had good sound, good noise-cancellation, and some kind of transparency mode to allow in outside sound optionally, I'd plop down $350 quite readily and probably retire both my Grados and my Bose.

Says the guy with a $100 pencil.

Seriously though - $600 bucks is a decent price for decent headphones (if they are that). I've paid 3x that for decent headphones.

Well two actually plus a 2k fold so money isn't an issue for me to pay if it's worth it

Well let's see how they sound. If they sound better than my xm4 and by a massive difference then we will talk

This is what I would do:

Have an event in early November that is focused on audio only — HomePod and AirPod.

Have an event in early December that is focused on the aMac.

Both of these deserve their own spotlight.

The new AirPods could be a big thing. I think the market for high end cans care much more about quality than price — musicians, gamers, people that watch tv and don’t want to disturb others...

Your comment contradicts itself.
The rumors for “the past 2-3 years” are that AirTags ARE their own product.

I wonder why you believe you know otherwise and feel as though you should attack other members because of your skewed opinion?
