Prototype 3rd Gen iPod Touches with Camera Appear on eBay

I don't know about you, but I never have my full frame sensor DSLR with all the lens kits with me when I get kidnapped by aliens. The last time the Calamari nabbed me the only device I had with me was my iPod.

Apple needs to put a high quality camera in every device as well as a recording magnetometer, GPS and a device for taking alien genetic samples (If the camera could take pictures in UV and IR that would be great).

PS. We need an English Calamari translation app.

Did you even read the whole post? This is not a future product. It's a prototype of the 3rd generation iPod touch.

It's even the article title. I'm not sure why people are getting that this is not a new leak. (I also think it's funny that there are still people accusing it of being fake)

Who would think of using aluminum instead of metal? I like the idea of using a non metallic aluminum back. Perhaps they can even use a non metallic aluminum back on an iPhone (After all, aluminum does not block radio waves like metal does).

In case the Calamari attack again, just have butter and garlic (and maybe a little soy sauce) with you. Sautéed calamari is great.
 
the same camera for ipod nano

i've heard that the ipod touch camera is going to be pretty weak.
it's basically the same camera they used for the ipod nano, and it can't shoot still pics only video. That's a big letdown for me since i would like to use the ipod touch to take still pictures.

I heard it was going to be a 10 mega-pixel still camera saving pictures in raw format plus a 1080p video camera. Seriously I just said it out loud and typed it here.

If by the world you mean macrumors, yes it wouldn't exist. If you mean the whole world, don't worry it would be about the same. We could say the ask the same question about Bill Gates. We are going to survive even without them.

Now hold on.
Nano has camera but no apps,no mic,no wifi,small screen.
IPod touch could have camera,app,mic,wifi,no phone,no monthly bill.
iPhone has everything+GPS

So how would that work again??Even with cameras all three are still very different.

To say that the ratio of touch vs phone sales has any bearing on anything is completely absurd.

I've always wondered what that black rubber thing at the top-left corner is.. I always thought that it was supposed to be a camera spot, but was left out at the last minute?
