Are you sure it's not a iPhone 4?

Are you guy's 100% this an't a iPhone 4 someone took apart and just changed the stickers? You guys always miss the little things when posting this stuff. When people say it's the real deal like leaked mockup of a iPhone 5 but you can tell the person that made it forgot a important thing like apple has stopped putting iPhone (insert gen. here) on there phones? I mean look at the back of the iPhone 4. Do you see it say iPhone 4? No it say's iPhone and also sometimes they forget to say something like the amount of GB. So are you guys know this for fact or just posting to get readers?

I say it's a conspiracy to keep the new iPhone a surprise. Think about it, how easy would it be for apple to send fake photos to websites anonymously as "tips" just to throw of the public? That or it's the lite version of the iPhone 4

Thinner means narrower?

My first post (be gentle):
I always thought Apple's next phone would keep the same 3.5" retina display but loose the blacked out edging. That would make the phone narrower, but keep the retina display resolution. Remember how all phones were trending to get smaller and smaller before the iPhone came along. Today's Android phones are way too big. You gotta think Mr. Jobs knows this. I gotta think if you want a larger screen, you want an iPad.

Plus, Apple would not introduce a new operating system called iOS 5 coming and put it in an iPhone 4S?

My best guess:

New iOS 5 operating system to go with an A5 processor in a thinner (read narrower) and lighter iPhone.

Mac Rumors

Just another Mac rumor :)

My inside source says that the design of iPhone 5 it's almost the same like iPhone 4 plus:

- ultra resistant glass (3 times more powerful than the current one)
- 3.8" retina display with bigger resolution
- dual-core
- have support for 850/900/1700/1900/2100 bands
- bluetooth 3
- 64gb storage
- 1080p @ 60fps
- better battery life

...and of course iOS 5 :D

I had a friend in junior high who, in science class, would make these outrageous claims about new technology or a physics breakthrough. Our science teacher would just stare down her nose at him and, very laconically, drawl out: 'Riiiiiiight'.

So...

Riiiiiiight. :p

Engadget says there is an N97 iOS device that completed testing in June, which I would imagine would be the iPhone 5. I am assuming Apple is trying really hard to keep the iPhone 5 a huge secret; possibly intentionally allowing the iPhone 4S here to leak to confuse us?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A5302b Safari/7534.48.3)

Hold on let me go write EVT on my iPhone 4 and I'll post it as even more evidence.

Last week, a prototype back panel for Apple's "N94" iPhone surfaced, revealing a nearly identical appearance to the iPhone 4. The part was an "Engineering Verification Test 2" component carrying a date of June 7th, 2011, but questions have continued about whether the device represents the upgraded iPhone 5 or an "iPhone 4S" designed to be a cheaper model based on the iPhone 4 design.

Really? How can you call a same design iPhone 4 the iPhone 5???

What kind of redesign are people expecting ? There is only so much you can do with a phone.

Thats ridiculous. If you've paid attention to what goes on on these rumor websites, you would've seen MANY mockups of iphones. There's no end to the amount of possibilities to the design of phones. Everybody would get bored if eventually Apple stuck with one design over and over and over, year after year.

Bored of what? We jugging it on looks now?

"Oh the iPhone still looks the same, i'm off to buy an Android"

Laptops iMacs MacPros have has the same designs for years, don't see people getting bored.

I've had a feeling this was gonna be it. iPhone 4 is to iPhone 5 as iPhone 3G is to iPhone 3GS. Don't know why it took them so long to release it though (guess they thought the iPhone 4 was so good it could stand on it's own for more than the usual one-year product cycle).

Don't forget that Verizon just released their iPhone 4 six months ago? I wouldn't think Apple would want to release a full redesign 5 immediately on the heals of the Verizon launch. It would seem natural to build some time in so Verizon customers wouldn't feel ripped off.

Um, I'm not sure why anyone would think that 1. Apple would give a crap about how Verizon customers feel, and 2. That Apple would delay releasing a product that will sell tens of millions at launch-- and even to people who JUST bought the 4. Besides that, isn't Apple upsetting millions more waiting iPhone 5 buyers than they would have Verizon customers??

I'm sure there's a reason for this delay... but at this point, I'm not buying unless there's a noticeable change in appearance. Really, if there's not a change in looks, then I don't see what the big hold up was... and I refuse to support that with my money.

Phones that were (operative word is were) "trending" smaller weren't smartphones. No way does Apple make the iPhone 5 narrower! Who wants to read on that?

Ever heard of invisible shield? That qualifies as a case.

...and still changes the design. design is feel as much as it is look, so to speak.

(also, i have serious doubts that it'll offer that much fall-protection in the end).
