360 is gangsta, PS3 is a hater and i am jockin' on dem haters mang.

So 360 wins

Plus 360 is white, thus looks more like a Mac, even if it is a rival. PS3 is overhyped and owning it makes you look unintelligent as, you have just spent a huge amount more on something with not-so-obvious advantages.

Bottom Line, Real G's Buy 360

:apple:

This is why America (actually every western country) needs more money in their education system.

Yeah souljaboi you tell em....crank it back three times...drop that supaman dat that oh!

Bless

Oh please no:(

That guy is the most undeserving millionaire we've ever had. And people actually listen to that song for enjoyment.

No offense

lol, what? You're not in the ghetto! You're on a forum!

But yea, the PS3 deal got much better by the inclusion of 2 games for the standard system. To compete against the 360 where you get 2 games, from a selection too.

I can't imagine the tides turning anytime soon, at least this fast. But I'd love to see the situation in a years time with the PS3 and 360 constantly outdoing each other. I'm hoping something will happen to the Wii. Right now it's on easy street, it needs no price cut, no new features. I'd love a bit of competition for it so when I buy my own I'll get more bang for my... Pound Sterling

Lol, I couldn't agree more to be quite honest.

Back on topic though, another reason that 360 is the better of the two consoles thus far in my opinion is that its games are much better integrated into the whole live system.

Also please ignore the ignorance of my first post lol, it was just for laughs.

I thought it might have made for an interesting posting trait too.

Ah, sweet irony.

In other news, top researchers at Microsoft are now reporting that studies show owners of the PS3 have significantly lower average IQs than owners of the 360.

Would that be white like the MacPro or MacbookPro, or white like the iMac or the black Macbook? ;):D

And if you want white you could always go with this...

See, the black buttons throw the design off there. The PSP has "white" nailed for Sony.

Off topic completely, but I love the 360's gummy-sweet face buttons. A bit pretty IMO.

The problem with the PS3 online is the lack of standard. We all know that it is feasible. Since Sony is not enforcing any standard, you are at the mercy of developer. God knows some will cut corner to put on the box : Multiplayer.

You are always at the mercy of the developer. I don't see in PC's any standards enforced. But I see many good networking games. If a game is good, it will be good. Enforcing standards will not result in better networking, it will only result in less games supporting networking.

Go for the 360 :D Has the same games pretty much, just without the blu-ray player.

I do not agree with you. Lots of PC games have really crappy multiplayer option. AT least every X360 game have the same features : Voice Chat, Integrate Friend list, cross-game invite, etc.. That mean that every game that I buy that has xbox live multiplayer support have thoses option.

Let me see if I understand this....Voice chat and all of these other features are not actually a part of the game, they're a part of Live....Kind of like running two applications at once on your computer (Like, let's say, Safari and iTunes on my Mac). The game is one program and Live is another program. Both are running at the same time.

With Sony, such things have to built into each game. Is that right? Or can the PS3 do this as well with simply a system update?

Yea, you got there before me. All them 360 features are just built into the overlay UI, not the game. To put it really simply a developer only makes the game and puts the achievements in. Everything else (for a single player game) is handled by the 360 itself. "Currently playing", messaging etc a dev has no control over.

PS3 devs could, theoretically, build makeshift systems to get the above features into their own games but have a disabling switch for when (if) Sony adds a similar overlay.

I don't understand how MS could build such a feature rich UI and overlay, yet also make Windows which heavily relies upon 3rd party apps.

I went with the PS3 and am EXTREMELY happy.

The online play for the PS3 is fine for me, the wireless in the 60-gig PS3 was perfect, the Blu-Ray player is INCREDIBLE, and I enjoy all the games.

All my friends that have 360's LOVE it too but all of them have had to send their 360's back into the shop at LEAST twice and after awhile it gets to them

Why not get all three systems (Wii included)? You get to play all the exclusive games, and you can choose the best platform for the multiplatform games. Seems like a win win to me.

Maybe they can't afford all 3 consoles? Maybe they see it like me; why buy another console when I could buy 10 games for my current consoles?

One console a year is how I am doing it. Next year I buy a PS3, as I already have a Wii and 360. Although I wanted to get a PS3 for christmas, but buying a house kinda made that unrealistic.

Otherwise yes I can see how it seems like a large amount of money to spend all in one fell swoop. Anyhoo, has GT 5 Prologue came out yet? I am also excited to play some Little Big Planet as well.

Um....money?

I barely could afford the PS3 and games

Not even sure I can get a 360 for Christmas from anyone.

I bought a 360 Nov 2007. I bought a PS3 Dec 2007. The PS3 is staying and I’m selling the 360 for a loss. Gaming is a personal preference, but speaking as a fairly experienced gamer (mostly on the computer) and speaking as a software developer, the PS3 far surpasses the 360.

As for cost/value, consider this:

Code:
Xbox: 400
HD-DVD: 170
HDMI: 30
Wifi: 100
Online: 50/yr
---------------
Total 750

[b]Or[/b]

PS3: 500	(80gb with wifi)
HDMI: 30
Wifi: 0
Online: 0
A2: 150	(for HD-DVD Movies)
--------------
Total: 680
The less expensive solution gives you BOTH blu-ray and HD dvd movie formats. Plus, the PS3 is much quieter, so much that you will not hear it when playing or more importantly while watching. The 360 on the other hand, is like watching movies while your mom is vacuuming.

Well, Im Australian and PS3 currently is $700, on its own, where-as in the last few weeks i bought a 360 Pro for $500, with 3 games to me that is a no-brainer.

:apple:

I owned all 3 consoles but settled on the PS3 (got rid of the other 2).

Getting rid of my Wii was an easy choice.

The PS3 versus the 360 was a little harder, but when I added up the cost of accessories for the 360 versus what was included with the PS3, and the benefit of region free gaming my choice was made.

I'd rather import games and pay AUD$50-80 than buy retail and pay AUD$99-AUD$119. The fact I can pay less and get the games before they are even released in PAL regions is fantastic.

In the end it's all about games though. The PS3 had the games I wanted at a great price. Other may feel differently...
