No reason for you to be confused. But if you used your AppleID for the signup, then got an email telling you that you didn’t, that might be confusing.

Nice you already got the card though!

Got similar issues stating to fix my AppleID On my AppleTV, when there was nothing wrong with my AppleID!.
I’m on 13 beta on my AppleTV, but not my iPhone.
I had no issues with AppleCard sign-up.
Could very well be a beta issue if you are on the beta on your iPhone!

I have two Apple ID’s, one for iTunes and one for iCloud. This week I received Apple Card advance invitation sent to my iTunes Apple ID which didn’t work. (Apple Card is connected to Wallet on iCloud) So after after receiving the confusing above Apple email yesterday and entering my correct iCloud Apple ID...hopefully a correct invitation will arrive in 48 hours

Still rockin' my mac.com email since the beginning of time and have never had any issues with it
Remains my primary email to this day
Still have my same .mac email address since they came out and never paid for mine either. Never had an issue with it or told they were getting rid of them.

I have a similar setup to @blackhawk10 above: have split Apple ID's. I used my iTunes/App Store/etc Apple ID (3rd party email address) in the "get notified" a while ago and had friends getting invites when I didn't. Went back and put in my iCloud ID in the sign-up and got an invitation just days later.

I did sign up to be notified when the Apple Card became available, but I didn't get an email invitation. Instead, I found the application in my Apple Wallet, applied, got approved, and ordered my physical card. The process seems to go differently for different people, much like any interaction involving a bank.

I have a different problem... 2 iPhones with separate  IDs to manage work and home contacts/calendar/mail/keychain etc. I got an  Card invite up and running on the first phone but even though I got an invite on the 2nd  ID, approval was denied because of the existing first account.

So I tried to enter the credit card number of my first  Card into my 2nd iPhone and got an error.

So at this point can only use 1 account on 1 phone, unlike my other credit cards.

Apple customers who registered their interest in gaining early access to Apple Card were left confused last night after receiving an email from Apple asking for their Apple ID, despite having already provided it.

Yep. I'm one of those.

That's an "Oh, crap!" moment when you hit send on on a million unintentional emails.

I have two Apple IDs. One ID is for iTunes for apps, books music and such. The 2nd ID is my iCloud ID.

Which one of these two would the Apple Card be on?

Wow! Brain-fart! No linkage among different Apple Id accounts?
[What about household?]

My physical Apple card arrived on Monday. It has the first and last name that are on my Apple ID account, and not the name that I use for all of my other credit cards (Dr. and my middle initial). I contacted Apple via the Wallet and they told me that the rules state "first and last names only."

Rec’d my email yesterday but I’m having the exact problem described in this article. I certainly am using the right email address but I got this email. I’m hoping Apple addresses this issue as soon as possible.

Ditto. I verified everything and somewhere Apple screwed up.

I got this email yesterday night. It was sent to my gmail account to i makes sense that they wanted my apple account. I have submitted by @me.com email to them but i havent received the invitation yet. It says it might take up to 48 hours.

Hopefully we all get it.

Hmm As some have commented already, this has not happened to me but I am curious is jus iCloud email alias or other 3rd party accounts. As I use still a .mac & .me alias so might be a distro email group mess up

Mine was for my gmail account. My mac.com/me.com ones aren't associated with it and didn't get one for them since I didn't sign up to be notified for them and they aren't signed into iCloud.

i got this email too and thought it was strange because i did provide my apple icloud email

I was initially confused by the email, but looking at the To: line cleared it up.

The To: line showed Apple sent the email to userna.me@gmail.com. My email address/Apple ID is username@gmail.com.

So in my case, it looks like someone else signed up for an invite and fat-fingered their email address in a way that how gmail handles extra dots on the left side of the email address caused Apple's email to be delivered to me.

I’m on the beta on my iPad. I’d be curious to see if that’s the core of it. Anyone who is on the beta seed list is having this issue?

I got first round of e-mails, I did the application .. It asked for a picture of my Driver License. I have a REAL ID from California (Took them long enough) and Apple's software choked on it. Got a call to Apple Care. they say 3-4 days call back. They are scheduled for Friday.

I wasn't going to get the card but after a few adult beverages last night (my birthday) I decided to check it out and ended up getting it. They said my score was an 814 and I got approved for $9k and 17.99%. I don't keep balances so the percentage rate isn't of concern.

Has anyone who got the email yesterday saying there was a problem with their AppleID email address gotten their formal invite for the AppleCard yet. I know they said up to 48 hours. I guess it's ben 17 hours for me. FYI, my AppleID is a gmail address.
