I don't mean to be that guy, but an easy fix is available...... just release it to everyone!

Ok just got off the phone with a Senior Advisor. This was a one time system issue where the system didn't recognize emails as iCloud emails. It was a one time thing all you need to do is go back re enter your email in the notify me and wait up to the 48 hours.

Has anyone who got the email yesterday saying there was a problem with their AppleID email address gotten their formal invite for the AppleCard yet. I know they said up to 48 hours. I guess it's ben 17 hours for me. FYI, my AppleID is a gmail address.
You need to reenter your iCloud email in notify me if you got that email. System didn't recognize emails as iCloud emails for some reason. Reenter and wait.

I did sign up to be notified when the Apple Card became available, but I didn't get an email invitation. Instead, I found the application in my Apple Wallet, applied, got approved, and ordered my physical card. The process seems to go differently for different people, much like any interaction involving a bank.
Same here. Didn't even check for the email. Just applied via the wallet; got approved.

Same happened to me. I use both my gmail and me.com email to log-in to my icloud although my gmail was the original account access email. I used by me.com email to be notified for the card. Guess I should have used the gmail.

Definitely having the same problem, and definitely used the correct email. (btw, mine is a gmail alias so I’m not having the iCloud issue as hypothesized above)

I own my own domain and have always used an address in it for Apple ID/iCloud and have never had a problem. I can't get in through the wallet app, but I got the weird email and signed up yet again in hopes of them finally poking their gatekeeper into letting me through. No other communication from them.

No matter what the product/service is, it's very frustrating to have followed instructions and still not being able to use the product/service with no hint as to when a fix is expected.

Really? I’ve had my Mac.com email since 2001 with several aliases. I’ve never paid a cent. It still works perfectly just like my .me account and can use .icloud in the place of any of them.
In 2000 iTools was free and included a .mac email. In 2002, they renamed itools to .Mac and it was a subscription service that included email, a home page builder for your own website, and some other stuff.
I’m thinking it became free when MobileMe launched as far as the .mac email goes. I’ve had a .mac address since the beginning and I vaguely remember playing with HomePage so I must have paid for it.
So I now have .mac .me and .icloud all coming to the same place.

So far the whole process seems really buggy. I got turned down for the card with a 720, told I had too many late payments. I haven't had a late payment is almost 7 years. I monitor my report closely I and two days latter I still don't see a credit pull from Apple. Does that mean they only did a soft pull or maybe they got the wrong file? Then I keep getting emails to the same address that my Apple Card is waiting for me to apply.

Probably try again when the dust settles.

Same for me. I had a Mobile Me account using my original Apple ID as the primary email address but let it lapse. Then signed up again afterwards but was unable to get my "apple ID"@me email address so now, my Apple ID and primary Apple email account are different. Apple said they couldn't change my original ID so I'm stuck with it.

Does it need to be my iCloud email address? and just to be clear, iCloud dot com? or me dot com?
[doublepost=1565803996][/doublepost]When I click on the link that I got yesterday, it now seems to default to prior page where we signed up for general release, not a a specific invitation. Frustrating ...

The "problem" is that there are two Apple IDs. One for iTunes purchases, and one for iCloud. For most people, the email address for each is the same. For a lot of people that got into .Mac/MacMe before you could use your personal email address as your iCloud Apple ID, you have to know which Apple ID apple is asking for, in context, every time they ask for an Apple ID.

Unfortunately apple didn't fix this issue years ago and now it's just getting more messy.

I have given some thought to bailing on my previous purchases and just starting to use my me/mac/icloud ID as my purchase ID. However, I have a lot of movies associated with my iTunes purchase Apple ID at this point.

In my case, way back when, I had a mac.com ID, but for at least the last ten+ years, ever since my first or second iPhone, my apple ID for all things apple has been a gmail email address, not me dot com, nor iCloud dot com.

I never got a email but the card showed up in my add a card on my ipad. Have been using the card for three days and it has been great!

That’s funny! I deleted that e-mail on pure reflex the moment I read “...we need your Apple ID”

It came to my hotmail address anyway, and I can’t remember if that’s the one I signed up with:oops: But I find it weird if I didn’t use my iCloud ID back theno_O

Interesting thing is I live in Norway and I don’t expect Apple to release the card here in a LONG time. Or will they:eek:;)

Didn’t bother to sign up again anyway, no rush, I’ll get it when it eventually lands in Norway:cool:

I can't tell you how many issues I've had when dealing with Apple's domains, @Mac, @icloud, @me, etc. I was lucky enough to have had people within Apple tell me to not use their domains, back in the MobileMe days, they don't always play nice for whatever reason. I've experienced most of my problems when dealing with things like sharing calendars, reminders, etc. I've had specific conversations with Senior Apple techs that try to beat around the bush when it comes to acknowledging these domain issues. They end up changing the conversation. They know there's a problem. Just my $0.02

As for my application, I used a gmail account and was approved in minutes and card showed up Monday.

For those of you are easily scammed, beware......I’ve already started getting automated calls reference suspicious activity in my “iCard” account. It tells me each time to not use the card again until told to do so. I hung up after that but it began to tell me to press a button if.....

I got this email. Same appleid and correct (a google address) forever. I did try out iPad OS during the beta period but rolled back to 12 and had signed out correctly before restoring.

This is getting way too complicated. Apple didn't have their ducks in a row obviously. Guess that is what the advanced roll out was for to deal with bugs.

Anyway, better now to just wait for the official Apple Card roll and go from there.

I got the same email yesterday...but then I realized what it was. Most of the time the email address is use is an alias (you can have 4 email aliases) so I resubmitted it will the actual iCloud email address.

Yeah, the news is not that you got the mail when you submitted the wrong email address. The news is that many people submitted exactly the right email address and still got the email.
