I resubmitted my email on Tuesday - so much for 48 hours turn around. It is Sunday now and still nothing. I also went to Wallet app and tried to click on + in hope the card would show up like for some others - nothing new there either.

Yes, it’s pretty clear that the “resubmit and wait 48 hours” thing does nothing other than put your name back in the queue where, at some point, it may or may not be selected. More likely you and me and lots of other people just have to wait until the public announcement.

Was just about to ask if anyone has had any luck on this at all. System still seems really buggy as far as trying to apply getting different reasons.

I don't think they're sending out any invites on weekends. Based on the posts from people who got in, it seems like a lot of the invites that did go out happened mid-afternoon on weekdays. They might be manually triggering the next 1000 invites or something each day.

Apple support is not well trained on Apple Card. They have not worked well with GS support. My original invite was under my iTunes ID. A n Apple support person told me to log out, and log in iCloud using the iTunes ID email, then apply for Apple Card that way. He told me that the ID could be switched after the card was opened. So I applied, accepted the offer as directed. Well, he could not switch the Apple ID for the Apple Card. He directed me over to GS support. The rep there was rude and not sympathetic to me telling her I was following the directions from Apple support. Since the card would only work if I was signed in using my iTunes ID in iCloud, the Apple Card was not usable. I had to direct her to close out the card. This was about 30 minutes after I opened it!!!! GS support said the ID could not be changed. (That’s garbage; what if somebody’s email address is hacked and they need to create a new iCloud email address?)

I called back Apple support and asked for a senior advisor. Explained everything again to her telling her reps are not trained properly in answering questions like mine.

The senior advisor at Apple offered me a $100.00 item from Apple.com to make up for all the aggravation and trouble in this case. The item I chose is being delivered today.

I have had a call back from a supposed senior advisor of Apple Pay who claims engineering is researching my particular issues. Not full of confidence that this invitation for an early preview will ever be honored.

Time is just ticking away with no invite despite resubmitting my Apple ID
last Tuesday. I guess I’m glad I’m not just dying to have this card.

It just really bothers me when companies (especially customer service and/or support staff) promise to follow up within a certain time frame and don’t follow through. Apple has historically been very good about “under promising and over delivering.” Hopefully they can fix this issue quickly. Can you imagine the blow back here if Apple promised launch day delivery for a real product and then didn’t ship it for a week or 2 after without any status update...

My invite finally opened up today. I didn't receive an e-mail, but I tried the wallet 2 times this morning about an hour apart and the second one succeeded.

Apple did not promise an Apple Card to anyone that received an invitation. Moot point now. Available to all!
