Apple will fix this by interpolating the battery level graph instead of showing a hole, I think.
Same issue with my 15 Pro Max as wellPotentially related—I've had my 15 Pro for almost a month and it still hasn't figured out the Optimized Battery pattern. That is, it charges immediately to 100% and stays there all night, instead of plateauing at 80% until just before I wake up.
My iPhone 13 mini shut down. Also, my iPad mini 6th gen shut down. Both are on iOS/iPadOS 17.0.3.My 14 Pro does this. Maybe it is an A16 related issue?
Surprised it never did this in the 17.0 betas...
I'm with you that iOS 17 has been pretty brutal for me (full system lock outs, needed a restore, poor battery, excessive heat, etc) but lets not forget Snow Leopard had a bug that literally deleted your home directory that was patched in like 10.6.2 or something like that. Please Apple: how about a Snow Leopard year or even TWO: bug fixes & refinements instead of glitz & gimmicks? iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS please! Take that time to revive "just works" again.
I hate this kind of argument. Much like when Windows would turn on "turn device off to save energy" or "reduce carbon footprint." Good lord.... tell me how many trees I need to plant outside so I can use my computer without having to crank it on the side.iPhones shutting off at night is a feature, not a bug. Most people are sleeping at night. The iPhone shutting off at night helps save energy. That's better for the environment. Just another way Apple's helping with the environment and reducing our carbon footprint.
Many people on this forum don't care about something as helpful as that. In their minds, Tim Cook is doing an excellent job because he is making loads of money for Apple and their shareholders. Please Apple: how about a Snow Leopard year or even TWO: bug fixes & refinements instead of glitz & gimmicks? iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS please! Take that time to revive "just works" again.

In all honesty, I don’t think that feature has EVER worked for me since its inception. Hit or miss on the mac as well.Potentially related—I've had my 15 Pro for almost a month and it still hasn't figured out the Optimized Battery pattern. That is, it charges immediately to 100% and stays there all night, instead of plateauing at 80% until just before I wake up.
It’s just greenwash at full display, without truly tackling the biggest offenders or address the real issues. Beating the bush is all powerful individuals and corporations do to make public think they are doing something but in reality it is the complete opposite.I hate this kind of argument. Much like when Windows would turn on "turn device off to save energy" or "reduce carbon footprint." We should all support Apple here and stop buying their crap. That‘ll really help them reduce their carbon footprint.iPhones shutting off at night is a feature, not a bug. Is it? A vast majority of users aren't having issues, and it's not as if the phone is unusable by any stretch.iOS 17 has been nothing short of a disaster.
