No way. 16GB of flash memory? Bluetooth? They are gonna use that to jack up the price. Plus it's being touted as a "premium" product.
I absolutely agree and see a $199 - $249 price in my sorry future ...

Seeing how well the premium-priced PS3 is doing in this economy, it would be a brilliant idea to throw a MORE EXPENSIVE system out there!![]()
it's probably what they'll do though

PS3 is cheap for what you get. If you want a Blu-Ray player which is good as PS3's, you have to buy 800 Blu-Ray player. It's amazing media center for everyone. Beats XBOX in every category.
I'm glad to pay little more for quality and useful products. PS3 costs 350 and XBOX 360 200, 350 - 250 = 150, 1 year of XBOX live = 70, WLAN for XBOX 90 = 160. So XBOX with features which I need is more expensive. Of course lit lacks more features than I listed

Now here's a hugely welcome turn up for the books...
While meeting Sony Ericsson to discuss something I can't tell you about (sorry, NDA until Thursday) I managed to dig up possibly even more interesting news: the company is dumping Sony's own Memory Stick Micro cards (M2) in favour of MicroSD in its handsets.
The decision was revealed when I quizzed Sony Ericsson Global Marketing Director Fortuné Alexander about the company's use of proprietary technology. As I pointed out last week the new Satio, Aino and Yari phones all had microSD slots and the devices I can't reveal today were also fitted with this widely adopted format. I queried if this was the beginning of the end for M2, if all future Sony Ericsson models would instead use microSD?
"Yes, we are moving in that direction," explained Alexander and in a stroke, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. After all, while Sony Ericsson handsets haven't been as progressive as we would have hoped in recent years their steadfast use of M2 has added an extra ball and chain. Furthermore, such a decision must place a question mark over the future of Sony's entire, convoluted Memory Stick line since only Sony and Sony Ericsson use them at all.
Speaking of BluRay players, Costco have a well known brand (Sony, Samsung, something like that) for £80. So the PS3 being used as a BluRay player only argument falls apart now. FWIW I could buy an arcade 360, spare 20gb HDD, HDMI lead, wifi adapter (though I'm just using my laptop as a wifi bridge) and Bluray player for less than a PS3.
A price cut is needed now. Everything else its competing against got cheaper over the years.
But y'know I'm still holding out that this PSP Go will be a budget model, and going off the leaked photos of the new PS3 that will also be a budget model. By all means keep the high end product for those who don't mind paying but cheaper models will be more than welcome in this current climate.
Except gaming performance and the online experience
Games released on both platforms are almost always better on the 360, both in visual quality and frame rate stability.
The PS3 is technically more powerful, but apart from MGS4 taking advantage of the blue ray, it hasnt produced anything the xbox hasnt done.
There are good and bad BR players as well and PS3 has one of the best available
Wait what. Where on Gods earth did you get this fromOf course because games WERE made for XBOX mostly but not anymore. Next GTA will be PS3 only 'cause X360 doesn't have enough power and lacks Blu-Ray.
No, you just never got an answer that fit a fanboys desired outcomeAnd tell me three key features why XBOX live is better than PSN. I've asked this question at least thousand times and never got a good answer. People thinks it's better but it really isn't and it costs you money
It doesn't matter if its one of the best. If people want a bluray player now its £80 vs £270. My iMac is a fantastic DVD player but I'm not going to buy an iMac for every TV in the house.
Wait what. Where on Gods earth did you get this fromGTA IV is 6gb, if I'm not mistaken. Which means it can be 50% bigger before DVD is unnecessary, lol.
No, you just never got an answer that fit a fanboys desired outcome
XBL does things the PSN doesn't. Thats the quick answer.
That's what I said, 50% more of 6gb is 9gb. Out of all the absurdly epic games I have on PC and Xbox nothing hits 9gb. Bioshock, Fallout 3, Oblivion, GTA IV. Nowhere near the DVD9 limit.
My oh my....and all that because I mentioned that hitting the current market with another premium-priced product would not be a good idea...![]()
I know I missed your point 110 percentile. I just love talking about console war![]()
Can you take the fanboy war out of the PSP Go thread ... PLEASE?
BTW v.2, txa1265, you registered 7 years ago and you have only 98 posts?!?! How is that possible?
I'm hoping Sony is gonna price the PSPGo! near the DSi. I'm not looking to pay 200+ for the PSPGo!
OK, so it is $250, coming on October 1st.
