Not to defend them because I don't but there was no taxpayer money involved. It was a civil suit and Psystar has to pay all legal fees.

Thanks for the clarification. Glad it's coming out of their pocket and not ours.

... or is it? This wasn't a David vs Goliath fight. There's some PC manufacturer or several behind this. I wonder if we'll ever know.

Whoever Psystar owners are, I can already tell their *******s who are sore losers.

I never supported what they were trying to do. If they won, OS X would basically turn out to be just like Windows. Anyone could run it, on their crappy machines. Essentially making it a bad OS.

I think that Apple are WAAY better off making their own stuff and not selling it to other companies.
PCs running OS X, just isn't right.
I think that if someone likes OS X so bad, they should get a Mac.

That's amazingly pathetic. I imagine they'll sell even fewer t-shirts than they did computers.

Assuming they don't double bill credit cards and 'forget' to ship them, that is.

Trying to appear like the cool rebel kid, but shining with desperation. Could you imagine a company like Apple selling t-shirts to keep their head above water? lol

Actually, you -are- describing Apple here.

Apple - the self-proclaimed underdog that fought IBM - only to eventually use IBM CPUs in their computers.

Apple - the company that sued Microsoft, only to eventually take 100 Million USD from Microsoft and agreed to pre-install Microsoft Internet Explorer on their machines to survive because His Steveness had driven the company against the wall.

Apple - the company that needed to sell mp3 players to generate an income because nobody wanted to buy their toy computers.

Apple - the company that sues everybody who has a mouse on the desktop, but that stole the entire GUI concept from Xerox.

Apple - the company whose operating system core is completely based on Open Source software (FreeBSD, GutenPrint, the GNU Compiler Collection, just to name a few) because they were not able to come up with anything new on their own. Although they are so heavily relying on Open Source technologies, they still want developers to sign ridiculous NDAs and although they are ripping off the inventions of others so much (e.g. Konfabulator vs Apple's Dashboard), they are the sue-happiest company on this planet and "oh, boy, have they patented" their rip-offs.

Apple the company and its attitude totally suck.

its quite obvious really come on think of it, that Rebel EFI software is essentially an identical business practice to what they were doing now they are letting people do it for themselves its still illegal. And most of the boot loaders and drivers are stolen straight from the Hackintosh community. I will admit as much as I dislike all Hackintosh systems, the have worked hard writing drivers for different devices and then this company just goes and steals yet more things not made by them, go out of business already.

PS I find it hilarious about the donations :p, are your 750 clients from your open computers going to support you :p LOL

These Psystar guys are such wankers.

I also guess the donations angle makes the big backers less likely,or that is how it makes it appear now.

sorry but your wrong on quite alot of those points

Steve Jobs did not run Apple to the ground he left in 1985 a year after the macintoshes introduction, he formed his own company called NeXT Computers, between '85 and '96 it was John Scuelly and Gil Amelio who were the CEO's, they ruined it, in a last effort Apple bought NeXT and Steve Jobs returned. They bought it because they wanted to adapt the NeXT Computer operating system based form BSD Unix, this was called NeXTStep and became what we know today as Mac OS X. Microsoft agree the shares and they were powerless shares, they had no control over Apple whatsoever. They sold the shares in 2001.

Erm no, the iPod was a great concept, Tony Fadel came to Apple with his idea after he was rejected from Philips. Jonathan Ive gave it an iconic Apple design. At the beginning the iPod was for Mac only, so you had to be a mac user to use it.

, As far as I'm aware the Xerox board of Directors didn't really understand what the ALTO computer was and what it did. This of course was developed at Xerox PARC, when steve toured the facility they were more than happy to give it to him and i think he threw in Shares from Apple as well. Xerox where the idiots for giving it away no one stole it, they shouldn't have been so blind. I suppose Xerox have been punished as they now only make printers and copy paper lol.

In conclusion if your a mac user how can you hate the company so much lol.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.6; en-us; Archos5 Build/Donut) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1)

Psystar, thanks but no thanks.

Says you with your Hackintosh!!!!

(...) In conclusion if you're a mac user how can you hate the company so much lol.
you can use something and not love it (he could be working at a company where they only have macs, or maybe he doesn't use a mac at all and post his opinion, I don't see any problem with that).

Back to topic, I think (as someone else as said before) that psystar is trying to get some money to exit from bankruptcy.

I find it sad and the t-shirts' design is awfull, it seems something done in minutes :(

Are you an EFI-X boy, a torrent boy or a real man?

I started off as a torrent boy (I am ashamed ) with my Dell Inspiron 1525 hackintosh but after building my desktop I became a Boot132 + Retail 10.5.x + Chameleon bootloader man.

Ironicly, I spend more time in Vista now on the machine than I do OSX. I haven't even tried a Snow Leopard install on the hack as I have 10.5.8 working perfectly.

Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Props to Psystar for having the guts to take a stand against ol' Apple. I'm probably the only one around here who is sad to see Psystar fold, but it was good to see them jabbing Apple's private little monopoly.

T-shirts are a bit pathetic, though.

I hope they have better grammar and analytical reasoning than you do, anyway. Here's a starting point: just because Apple does something doesn't make it right.
