Oh? The iMac disagrees. As does the MacBook Pro, and I guess the iPod and the upcoming iPhone with the pointy-cam aren't completely agreeing with you either.

Well, technically YOU might not feel that YOU have had to give up on something, but making a desktop thin for no purpose while axing a drive and forcing it to use mobile hardware is pretty much the epitome of form over function.

Surely that is just a happy medium. Can't remember the last time I used a CD ROM whereas mobile hardware with its lack of wires

So the iWatch is gonna be a thick square block like every other smart watch on the market for the last 3 years...
Like I said before... Apple has found a way to dump/repurpose their surplus of iPod nanos.

Brilliant!

...exept the Moto 360, that one actually looks really nice.

Talk to you again tomorrow :) I'm sure the iWatch will look al lot beter than the Moto.

Now if only someone could use these leaks to mock up what it will look like hours before its announced.

It looks to me that this mock-up might not be too far off.

I've been a MacRumors fan for many, many years now, and I'm glad there aren't any solid leaks of this new product category. It will make tomorrow's broadcast more special.

Two different models in the pics

two watches shown here.... one square (smaller) watch, then a larger round watch (bcm pictures).

Larger Watch (Circular)

Smaller Watch (Square)

pogiboi is right: clearly schematics of two different device housings, the chubby ”square” one and a circular one. Nobody else sees that?

my thoughts exactly. After seeing the Moto I had hopes that Apple would one-up them. Now, I'm not so sure. I really really hope its not just a resurrected iPod nano.

Had hopes? It's a blurry render on a rumours site, get real and wait until Tuesday

I don't get how everyone can be complaining about the thickness of the device already. You have no reference to the thickness for perspective.

That slot/groove could be the thickness of a watch band (which is what I would expect it to be). In which case that would make the device very thin...

But with an 8-12 hour battery life which destroys it .....

There's something weird about the square rendering.
On one side we have a Lightening-like cable. On the next side ("north") we have button holes. Were does the strap goes then?!

Rectangle down, round up

Oh I get it now. From the angle of the strap cavity, the rectangle shape is underneath, round on the top.

I'd buy that.

Just asking. Can't the square rendering just be for a charging station?

That was my thought, the lightening port is shown right on it, the last leak said the iWatch was wirelessly charged.

Yes.... Time will tell....... ( I am ashamed I just lol'ed a little at my joke)

You should never feel ashamed to laugh at your own little jokes :) it's very good for your health...trust me I'm an analyst I know everything about everything :p

I think it's more because we all saw the 360 and it looked awesome. But yeah there was no indication it would be round

I'd love someone to explain how a round face is better at displaying content. It might look better aesthetically but is functionally better? I mean nobody is walking around with a round smartphone or a round tablet or round laptop. If I want a nice looking watch I'll buy a nice looking watch, something that doesn't need to be charged every day (or twice a day).
