i don't think quickreply has a 10 day trial..you have to buy to use it no?

i was using the cracked one and it didn't work...bought it and it worked..on landscape and shows the contact picture on the quickreply (not in the SMS app itself)

it doesn't replace the iphone SMS app, but complements it..

still some bugs such as if you miss two SMS in a row, but the rest seems to work fine..i mean it's only 2.99

if you download from Rock it has a 10 day trial :D

Randomly the keyboard on the lockscreen stopped working. Uninstalled and then reinstalled and within 10 texts, it happened again. They REALLY need to update this and make it work. Along with the fact that you can't view previous messages, see contact picture, or use landscape this app was NOT iOS 4 optimized enough...

Funny, it does all that on my i4.
I didn't see the load earlier but the rest worked fine and I received more than 10 texts with no issues.

For all the people having issues with quickreply not working fine...buy the actual app not the cracked one. The paid one is working fine on ip4s. I have been sending texts all morning with no issues whatsoever. Bitesms is nice but overall I think quickreply is an overall better value because it is more lightweight. I have tried both and went back to qr multiple times.

Well said. Try the full latest version from cydia. It works great on my i4.

I just bought Quickreply from Cydia and it does work very well. My only issue, and it's already been mentioned, is if you get a text and double tap you can miss another incoming text while you're replying to the first.

For example...A text comes in and from the lockscreen I double tap the pop-up and reply. While I was replying to this message a second was sent to me from a different person. I didn't notice it for 30 minutes because it made no sound or visual notification.

I don't get many texts from various people at once so this is probably something that won't affect me often. It could be an issue for those that text in high volumes.

Interesting. I didn't come across this bug yet but I hope they issue an update with fixes.
Also the load earlier button is not there like in previous versions but hopefully they fix all that.

Bought Quickreply this morning on Cydia - went to show it off to my wife by replying from the lock screen and within another app and both times the keyboard pops up but the only key that works is Done. Since it works for quite a few of you I guess I need to verify I've got the latest release and maybe reinstall. I don't have a lot of crap installed either. Just jailbreak for this, mywi, and 3G unrestrictor.

Edit - reinstall fixed the keyboard issue I was having.

the locked keyboard issue is intermittent for me. if it occurs, a respring or reboot usually clears it up. looking at the dev's tweets, he knows it's an issue.

You people really need to ditch this app. It's clearly not completely optimized for the iP4.

biteSMS ftw.

(I'm a convert from iRealSMS)

I should not be surprised that you purchased an app that was not working in the trial but I am.

I cant imagine thinking to myself, "This trial sucks, but I bet this would be awesome if I bought it!!"?????

I did find however Tlert was a battery hog and caused my email inbox to crash upon opening.

Giving bite sms a whirl.

I too was suffering from the frozen keyboard issue.
I'm using bitesms right now merely for its quickreply feature,
hoping the issue gets resolved soon because I really love it.

keyboard issue is known to the quickreply sms developer and he is working on a fix.

My real desire for JB texting is to have in-app and lockscreen texting, I can't think of any other significant features that I would like. So that's why I'm thinking QuickReply, since it's a smaller package, less bling, just the bare necessities for doing what I'd like. Can anyone offer a compelling argument to move to Bite or iReal besides just looking cool that you have a $12.99 (iReal) SMS app on your JB phone?

I'm a big fan of iRealSMS, with both quick send and quick reply. A little expensive, but I can't live without it. Works great on iPhone 4 and alongside LockInfo too.

Why get anything but bitesms? It's my understanding that bitesms is completely free too, if you don't care about some ads.

I've seen this, but the only feature that I think I would appreciate for the extra package/money is the Quicksend feature. But I'm not sure how compelling that is...I'm guessing that Quickreply doesn't have that? Maybe I'll just have to buy them all then choose:(

Exactly. It is technically free if you don't mind ads.

Do NOT buy them all. Especially iRealSMS. biteSMS has all of it's features and it's cheaper.

i like quickreply because it is small, simple, and blends in well as if apple implemented..bitesms def stands out as "different" but does have more usability (if that is what you wish)..both are good..

seems like 1.6.4 isn't on cydia but the description says 1.6.4 but the file isn't there
