Everytime I get a message Quickreply freezes and springboard crashes. making me have to reboot my phone, anyone else having this problem?

Not since the last update. Are you sure the version you have is the most current? Just in case you didn't already know, Cydia hasn't been showing update badges so you have to be sure to manually check.

Problems solved

I downloaded from rock so I could have the free trial, which is not available on cydia. With the rock trial I could not get the app to work at all. Since it was only $3 I decided to take the gamble and see if the paid cydia version would work any better and IT DID! The app when purchased from cydia works exactly as advertised, including integrating with LockInfo.

As a general proposition it's a shame that that's happening. Had the app been much more expensive I probably would not have taken the gamble, which would have been a lose-lose for the developer and I. Being somewhat of a noob I assumed the versions on rock and cydia were always the same. Guess I have much to learn........

Mine is messed up once again. If I get a message when the phone is on sleep it freezes and I have to reboot! Great product!! Just wished it worked for me!!

Can someone try something for me?

Next time you get a quickreply text when you are ready to respond, hit 'done' and your home button at the same time. Or try done then REALLY quickly after hit your home button.

Bug?

I am using the alert keyboard.

$3?? How did you get it for $3?

Ha, BiteSMS does seem to work better, but I don't like how it is its own application. I like using the native SMS app with QR. Maybe someday...

Well I dont use the bite as a standalone, I just use its quick-response / compose options. Dont see why you cant use the native SMS with BiteSMS as you do with QR?

@williamg

My bad. I was confusing QuickSMS and quickreply for SMS, which is what I got for $3. Sorry for the noobie mistake.

Not a bad idea. Do you prefer biteSMS to RealSMS? I have the biteSMS trial but its a little buggy...IDK if its from the ads in the app or what, but I cant add MMS, type in landscape mode (though it turns), or insert smileys :(

I bought this tonight from cydia and can't get landscape or show earlier messages to work. When I watched it install, it said it was 1.6.4 but when I restarted and loaded the settings screen I see version 1.6.3. I have set the toggles and it doesn't fix the issue.

I am confused as to why you use both. biteSMS is exactly the same as the native SMS but with a crap ton more features.

I like the look of the native icon better, the pink is ugly as ****... any way to fix that?

All you have to do is copy "icon@2x" from /private/var/stash/applications/mobileSMS.app to /private/var/stash/Applications/biteSMS.app

I am using classica3 SMS icon for my biteSMS

Has anyone purchased some credits and used them while traveling overseas?

have a trip coming up and might look into this as apposed to buying messages from AT&T

I havent tried RealSMS to be honest so I cant elaborate alot there.
As I said I dont use the actual sms-function per see (I cant add MMS either), I just use it for its, imho, superb implementation of quickreply / quick compose sms from the lockscreen :)

See reply above.

I can send MMS just fine with biteSMS. I have no ads or lag for that matter. I did pay for the license though.

So what are the bugs that the author of QR says are in his program and that he is going to let stay there since he is getting out of the JBing scene? Has anyone else read his note on Cydia where you look at QR where he says he is depreciating his software but not deleting it?
