Problem is, the video link doesn't show up on my iPhone. Anyone got a direct link???

nice features, lousy presentation... no emations, no "feeling", since apple, i hate the word "cool" "awesome" and..moe.. ;) anyway, can't wait to get it for my touch 1st gen

I MISS STEVE JOBS!

But still, good keynote.

BUT, I'm still waiting for the activation code to activate my iPhone Development Program.

Quick note: Steve Jobs didn't do a lot of the SDK presentation last time. That was Scott Forestall.

Anyway, I'm wondering when the full list of 100+ features will be released for iPhone OS 3.0. I remember when Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard came out, they advertised 300+ new features, but most people only use 10 of them on a regular basis (i.e. the new 3D Dock counted as one!).

However, I'm glad that they'd brought some meaningful updates to the OS. This might make me unjailbreak my phone!

P.S. anyone know if Mail searching includes the content of an e-mail or just From, To, Subject, and All (all 3 previous options)?

So when is a developer going to let the public get a copy of the beta software floating around the internet?? I want one now! (if this is possible)

Great stuff. The copy paste implementation is simple, yet full featured. Landscape keyboards everywhere, MMS, global search (please also for nicknames and notes in contacts?), apps can use bluetooth, etc.
I actually don't like the landscape keyboard except for typing stuff the auto-corrector doesn't help at all (acronyms, some urls, swear words). I'm very fast with 2 thumbs on the portrait keyboard. :p

It's interesting that the original EDGE iPhone can't do MMS (1:26 in the video). I remember trying out MMS with my old Nokia phone in 2002. It was a real pain to set up right, took way too long to transmit (failed most of the time) and was kind of expensive. the maximum picture size was pathetic, too, so I just discarded the phone's SMS settings and never used that feature again. :)

I think the day the iPhone OS 3.0 is released for the consumer, you can actually call the iPhone a Smartphone.

To get the video working on the iPhone, Apple needs to post a second version of the video where you can watch the video within Safari and not have to open the quicktime application. A video opening in Safari and a video opening in Quicktime player must be two different concepts, thats probably why no one can open it on an iPhone or iPod Touch.
