R.I.P. Backlit Apple Logo?

Most probably Apple shareholders would choose profit, strange it may seem, fisherking.

check out any of jonny ive's videos, about the design of the new macs (or, for that matter, previous models). apple is a business, so of course profit is king. but the company has done some amazing things to advance technology, and if you can't see it, you're not really looking...

If true I will terrible miss this iconic trademark but it seems Apple has done away with backlit logos in favor of an iPhone style stainless steel logo.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I will probably miss it when I get to have one of the newer machines without it, but less so than Magsafe or regular USB ports...
