Radio Shack iPhone 5 pre order

I'm really hoping that something works out Friday morning. I got my 2 preorders in on the apple store at 3:48am eastern only to have my time change to Oct 5th after I went back to bed. Since then I've preordered 2 from a RadioShack here and got on the list at a bestbuy mobile for 2 more, although I'm not sure where in line I am. Hopefully my apple.com order won't change from processing until after I can try my two alternatives.
You can call them to ask to see what position in line you are. I called and they told me what position I was in. I was planning to call them tomorrow evening asking them what's the latest and whether or not I can expect my phone on Friday. Really hoping that I can swing by and grab it easily.
Best of luck to you. I'm planning for the worst. The RadioShack guys seemed to have a pretty good handle on everything so I'm hoping they call me tomorrow with a time to come in an pick them up. However the best buy mobile employee told me that at the time of preorder for them they assigned a time for Friday to that preorder and those phones would be kept separate from their stock. He went on to say that they will be taking customers other than preorder/waiting list beginning at 9am. I will probably just go jump in line there too just to make sure that I will get them for sure.
I preordered two iphones from RS on Monday. After At&t cancelled my order stating that they couldn't confirm my identity. Being that I was signing up for a new family plan with 2 lines of service. My bday is on the 26th. I am praying I get the phones by then. I spoke to a RS employee asking how many phones does he think they will receive on Friday. He told me that they could get a shipment of 5 to 2 phones. I was like dont you mean between 2 & 5 phones? He seemed incompetent. I am in California. So hopefully you all on the east coast will get your pre ordered phones from RS that will give me hope! Otherwise I will be OCD like the rest of you. 
I preordered at rs as a last resort...wanted a white 32 but for some reason they were only ordering the 32 in black. ...I ended up preordering the 16 white...and immediately regret doing so.

Everyone PLEASE update with your Radio Shack story on Friday. I want to read about everyones! I hope we all get to spend the weekend frolicking with our phones.
I called around and pretended to be dumb and the general consensus is that if you did you PO early, you're pretty good. I heard one store saying that you might get it and I dug asking why and they said because of the shipment concerns but generally if you're in the top 10 or so it seems like they are aiming to get you a phone. Being 4th on the list is good. I have to imagine that RS will get at least 4 phones but then again, I can be mistaken.
If people are trying to jump onto this train, they may be doing a waiting list because one location said that the cutoff point was yesterday at 1:15PMish. Again, this can vary per market but it seemed like they had a lot of pre-orders already.

I ended up getting on the wait list and the guy didn't tell me what number I'm at even though I asked. I already cancelled the walmart pre order because I want a 32gb now. Sucks that I couldn't make up my mind on the color and size I want earlier. I don't expect to get a phone anytime soon.

I did the same LOL. I used google voice and called 4 stores around my area. All seemed to say the same thing.
"If you didn't PO, don't expect getting a phone from them on Friday. If you PO, we *expect* to receive a shipment, however nothing is guaranteed.
Im just light weight freaking out because I have NEVER PO / bought anything of this importance from RS. I have this weird feeling I'm going to get screwed.
Geez Luis. I dont know where to start... since I was screwed out of an AT&T order after staying up for pre-order night, I ended up cancelling that order then going to Radioshack that same friday. Was on the list as #3 for two AT&T White iPhone 16GBs and paid $50 each one.. got an account number and everything.

I preordered 3 16GB black iPhone 5's Sunday. I was told that they should have them Friday but they couldn't make any promises. I called today to find out if they had any information. Obviously they didn't. I'm going to call before they close tomorrow to find out if they got their shipment. If they can't tell me that I can pick up my iPhones Friday morning I'll camp out at AT&T tomorrow night and just use my 3 $50 gift cards to buy 2 iPhone 5's when they come in.
Just got a call frm my RadioShack, where I preordered last Friday. Said their shipment of phones will arrive Friday by 7 am, and wanted to schedule a time with me to pick mine up. If all goes according to plan, I should have mine by 8:30, just in time to laugh at everyone standing in line at the other stores.
Just a quick question because I've never preordered a phone before...but I did for the first time with RadioShack on the 15th.
Everyone is talking about what number they fall on this list..are we talking about a general list?...Is the list broken down by the carrier? I have no idea how they arrive at a store, but I assumed they were locked to a specific carrier when they came in?

I was told that each store gets a different combo of phones, colors and carriers. Your preorder reserves that specific combination for you. Not sure what the number means either. My RS manager told me that they can't presell more phones than they know they're going to get.
Oh yes! I guess a call would help if you oversleep-not likely.

order and AT&T orders for Oct 5.
My RS specifically told me that they WILL call me regarding when I could pick up my PO.
Lesson? Call or No call, go into your RS on Friday.

order and AT&T orders for Oct 5.i doubt we can get a $50 refund for the gift card. that is how they guarantee they get a profit from their customer, whether or not the customer receives the iphone 5 on launch day as advertised.
For all of those wondering about their preorders RadioShack will have their stock on friday of the ones that they ordered.
If they are a large enough store and took enough preorders they will get extra stock based upon preorders.
For example if they had only 1 Sprint preorder they will probably only get one extra sprint phone.
But for Verizon 6 preorders, 16 phones. So 10 extra.
Etc. Etc.
If you paid 50$ then you will get one on Friday unless your local fedex burns down or the driver gets mugged on the way to the store.
If you are on a list, then hope that you got on the list at a store that is somewhat busy, (Mall store) and then wait for a call to come in and get yours rather than waiting two weeks to preorder online.

And of course get our phones PRIOR to the OCD BRIGADES tracking their phones prior to pick up,at pick up,from 1 Chinese city to another,over the ocean,in Anchorage,in Illinois,in Ontario Cal,at the local depot,on the truck-wishful thinking.

I'll be calling my friends on their 3GS,4 & 4S from my I 5 as soon as I activate it because their's IS STILL ON THE TRUCK!
