OP: You need a girlfriend.
Don't be sad. Life can't be ios 7, like you obviously want with your painting.
OP: You need a girlfriend.
Hi, I'm OP! Look at me! I need your attention! Look how different my opinion is from the norm! Something really weird happened! Did anything remotely weird actually happen? Nope! I just needed attention. I instantly felt much better! Do I really feel any better? No, my life is still so sad that I need attention from strangers on the web. Is steve jobs really smiling from heaven? Nope. Hyperbole! Got you again. Anything to get someone to respond to me.
I completely agree except one thing, if someone paid me good money I'd go back. Easiest money ever.Installed iOS 7 GM on my iPhone 5 last week. Not a developer, sosumi...
OMG, what have I done?????
OK, I thought, it's different but I'll give it until the 18th and then downgrade before it's too late.
A couple of days usage and it was all starting to make sense. Now, a week later, I wouldn't go back if you paid me.
Give it a time, people.
I instantly felt so much better about owning an iPhone. You can feel better right now too. Apple is still signing 6.1.4. Here are simple steps you can take right now to enjoy your device the way it was meant to be.
1. Download appropriate 6.1.4 IPSW file for your device. Direct links from Apple's servers.

2. Open iTunes, connect your phone, and put your phone into DFU mode.
3. Once iTunes recognizes your device in Restore mode CTRL+Click Restore on windows or OPTION+Click Restore on mac.
4. Wait 5 minutes for your upgrade back to 6.1.4
5. Enjoy your new upgraded Apple iPhone and know that Steve Jobs is smiling from heaven.
Hmm - got a UK iphone 5 - tried the iPhone5,1 GSM 6.1.4 firmware - but iTunes said it was not compatible with my device
Looking like I'm stuck on iOS 7![]()

I'll also be downgrading. iOS 7 was clearly not designed with functional practicality in mind.
OP: You need a girlfriend.
I foresee a new Apple Maps crisis.
While I appreciate that some people don't like the aesthetics of iOS7, I completely disagree with you on the functionality. I find that this latest iteration of iOS is the MOST functional to date. Easy access to things you need to control your device with far less button pushing than before. The functionality is what sold me, not the design.
And to all of you making fun of the folks that don't like it... settle down. It's their opinion, and it doesn't make them wrong.

"Drunken Master" ..... Yeah.... HE'S the one that needs a girlfriend.

Overall, tasks take longer to accomplish => functional failure IMO. Of course control center was a huge benefit; no one would argue with that.
I've not timed them of course, but it hasn't slowed me down at all. What tasks take longer to accomplish? (Genuinely curious)
edit: I take that back, things take me much longer to accomplish because I'm screwing around with all the settings.... it's driving my wife nuts.
Badly chosen color palettes and painfully slow animations are pretty much the 2 causes of the lacking functionality.
I'd say this affects EVERYTHING. Typing, switching apps, closing apps, going to the home screen, new browser tabs, scrolling, flicking, finding elements on the UI. The flatness is horrendous; some aspects of a UI should have more emphasis aesthetically so that you can focus on them faster, and easier. The overall look and feel is just a downgrade for so many tasks.
