I find the complainers interesting. Apple is a company. It is a public company with stock. It has to do quarterly reports. It grows at >20% per year. It has a P/E under 17 which is less than 20+8. It has room to go up on a P/E basis alone. The admitted marginal improvements in mature products acknowledged, it is an ANNUITY. There is no end in sight. Devices become functionally obsolete and "need" to be replaced at a rate. ~2 years for a phone, ~4 years for a pad, ~4-6 years for a Mac. Apple simply adjusted to the reality of its market. It even changed its name! It has significant user base growth!
All I can see is segment loss in every category they're in. At this pace I'm hoping for a nose dive. Also I hope investors will get less so they know they've to invest in something else than greed.

I miss "One more thing..." followed by "Wow! Gotta have it!", as opposed to "Who's gives a damn? Apple sucks".
[doublepost=1490136954][/doublepost]This is Tim Cook showing love to Apple's product line-up, like Annie Wilkes shows love to Paul Sheldon.

As an aside, I think we do now know with a reasonable degree of certainty that there will be an iPhone Pro.

Imagine if they would've held an event today and this was all they announced :D

That's exactly why they didn't. This was a simple refresh across the product line with the exception of the 9.7 iPad seeing an all new price.

Most in here are making this out to be some horrible excuse to escape a Keynote, when that's not the case at all. This was site maintenance to add newer items. It was not meant to be a major overhaul for a new iPad or updated Macs. Perhaps a Keynote still may happen. Either way, it may not be appealing to all, but it was nice to see added products.

I'm so glad Apple is starting to realize that we don't care about our products' thickness. Battery life is more important. Glad to see that the new iPad went thicker so that it could be better. Moral of the story: Apple can still make the most beautiful and incredibly thin products without having to go too thin. Yay!

Best announcement was the Nike watch bands being available.

The rest was meh. Red iPhone has appeared 50% through the 7's life and will be superseded in 6 months.

New iPad gives with one hand and takes away with the other (Gets A9 but no laminated anti-reflective screen etc)

BUT, what do you expect for a bunch of no-fanfare updates?

If you think about all the effort that Apple is putting into the iOS range and the nothing that gets put into the macOS range, it becomes clear that Apple wants to get away from the open nature of macOS (where anyone can write, install, and distribute applications) and force people into the locked down ecosystem of iOS (where Apple owns - and gets money for - the distribution of applications).

[doublepost=1490138987][/doublepost]**** them I'm not going to buy their **** anymore, greedy ****ers.

Tim is who and what Tim is. he's brilliant at what he does. I hope he's stays on at Apple, just not as the chair in charge of direction. and I'd fire marketing. Never Tell them, creators, what proctuct marketing demands. they're job is to sell what brilliant people produce. This Company is completely ass backwards now... iPhone first. sads.

Still waiting for an updated Mac Mini hopefully with a quad-core CPU. Would like to buy a new mini but holding off waiting for a new model.

The cheerleaders weren't likely around in the bad old days. Anyone who was can see some uncomfortable parallels. How long did we wait for Copland?

The difference is in the relative strength Apple was when Jobs died, compared to the weakness it had in 1993. The magic is gone, and Apple is just another technology company again. Tim Cook is what he always has been--an amazing operations talent.

Amazing operation talent?? How so? Every new release has a shortage in supply. It always feels like apple is not sure the product will be in demand or not. They release it with less inventory to see how the market demand is and then slowly ramp up the supply. Look at AirPod and tell me how Tim is earning is reputation as an operation genius.

What am I missing, UK store has 'em?

Ha. Sorry, I was just being a bit of a dick with regards to the UK pricing. I realise it's a pointless complaint, of course. I think I'm more just annoyed about the iPad mini 4 having the 32GB option taken away.
