Yeah I have:

Username: o2wap
Password: password
MMSC: mmsc.mss.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195:8080
MMS Max Message Size:
MMS UA Prof URL:

I'm on contract so these should be right?

Nope, check the bold bit above, should be mms not mss

neither did I until I put in those settings and rebooted the phone, just like magic the mms option returns:D

Yes it's back for me now too - thanks. It still isn't working however... the usual message of "Setting up picture messaging doesn't seem to be working...." :(

Yes, that's how I received that reply - you don't have to send a blank one, sending active or mms (in fact probably anything) gets a reply saying they are setting up picture messaging followed buy another saying it's not working.

active is what i meant to say, mine was not working but i was putting ing in 02 and not o2 in the settings though you probably are not as thick as me:rolleyes:

This is strange - I'm on O2 in the UK and have 3.0 firmware but have not received the message.

I also tried to get O2 to enable MMS for me but had no luck - although they did keep sending me daily text messages saying "We cannot process your request for Picture Messaging. Please call Customer Service or visit O2.co.uk" which makes me think someone did attempt to activate it at least.

Same
