i understand the business days thing - my remark was more about the factories are operating 24/7, my order had to be near the front of the surge at 1:03am PST, so i was curious why, if i was arguably near the front of the surge, would people who ordered online hours later be getting deliveries while mine was still Not Yet Shipped, which means not only that it has not been picked up by fedex, but also that the item had not even been allocated in the production line at the factory... what this means is that other units, ordered way past the time i ordered mine, have managed to find their way into a box and out the door and onto a plane and delivered to an address, all before mine is even identified as mine yet. so despite being among the first to order online, 6 working days (4.5 business days) have transpired and i have not seen one glimmer of activity, despite obvious activity all around....
i mean whatever - its not life or death or anything. but you can't help but think about these things when you're stuck in such a situation, waiting for your name to be called, and knowing that you did your due diligence to line up at the appropriate time....
in hindsight, they probably should have offered the white in only one configuration for each type of service... 9 different models of white and black units is just crazy....
and in further hindsight, they probably should have just offered an entry level model (16GB) and a prosumer model (64GB) and left out the 32GB... if the only difference between the three is storage capacity, i'm not sure that's enough of a differentiator to warrant further distribution complication.... make the selection easy and the choices limited (but reasonable)... macbook or macbook pro, not macbook, macbook medium and macbook pro. imac 22 and imac 27, not imac 22, imac 25 and imac 27.
