prepared to ship

My black 32 WiFi 3g ATT&T switched to prepared to ship some time between 5:00 and 8:30 p.m RET today. I ordered 1258 a.m march 11th. Hopefully will ship today since its now 10 a.m. in China

No.. Apple doesn't even let you select any shipping and thats a extra service that has to be paid for... if your hasn't shipped out you could try calling apple and asking if thats something you can pay for?

I got my cover delivered on saturday i didnt pay anything for it. Fedex delivers on saturdays

The Kevin Rose guy or what ever his name is said there might a new iPad 3 this september with better screen and other improvements.... I hope not, that would be like a middle finger to use who purchased the iPad 2...

Well, why would apple have a refresh only 6 months later? That would be a waist of releasing iPad 2 and who would bother to go and buy another one for a FEW improvements? I know it will be released till' next year, takes time to create the new chip and other cool stuff :)
Enjoy your iPad 2 and leave the iPad 3 till' next year ! :apple:

I know this is answered SOMEWHERE in the past 4000 entries but wanted to ask anyway. How often does it from from prepared to ship to shipped with the iPads already a few steps into the shipping?

Just curious (and hopeful since mine has been prepared all day)

I got the same thing they were cool as ever on the phone saying hey its still within that time frame you should get it by the 25TH. But I did not call to get anything free or push for a discount i called for info and they were just cool and calm and said they were sorry about the long prep time.

Those guys who said they got free cases must of been lying or flipping out like little babies on the phone. Im not going to lower myself to that behavior for a piece of material with magnets in it, I am an adult

Hah, you're quite wrong. I for one did not flip out at all. I was very calm and said I was concerned that something was wrong with my order and would he mind checking it. I did mention that it seemed to be languishing while others ordered later were shipping and he VOLUNTEERED to refund me for the cover. I didn't even flip out when one rep accidentally canceled my order and bumped my shipping estimate to April 20 when he placed a new order for me. I waited patiently (well at least on the outside!) for him to try to fix the error. He did fix it and once again, he VOLUNTEERED to comp me another accessory.

I was within the first batch, and it took around 12 hours to change to "prepared", then shipped in another 12 hours. But now there are thousands of orders ! So it will definitely take some time !

Yes they deliver on Saturdays if you are using Home Delivery. They dont deliver on Mondays though

Yes, this. The smart covers are being shipped Home Delivery (a Ground service that operates Tue-Sat) and iPads are Express with weekday delivery.

Then thats the reason they cancelled your order bro, mine is fine and on time.

Quote from Apple CS Rep "They usually deliver on Sat depending on the area and city." From just a sec ago...

Has anyone actually gotten quoted by Fedex for their iPad to deliver on Saturday?
