I was hoping to wake up to the fact that arrived in the US. It hasn't. still.😡

At this rate I feel like I'll be lucky if it shows up next friday.

From the sound of it in this thread, many have achieved their "free product" or "free shipping upgrade" by acting like spoiled children or by downright lying about a "friend's" experience. I'm not sure how anyone can take that approach and brag about it much less be proud of their "accomplishment."

Apple hasn't missed their delivery projections, yet. I ordered very early last Friday (1:06 AM PST) and mine just went to "Prepared for Shipment" last night. I believe they said "shipping within 3-5 business days, and I think they are still within that window. My perspective is that some on this thread are earning the reputation so many foreigners give Americans. Very sad, but also an interesting societal "experiment."
 
Yea I dont Understand it why people get so angry and demand free stuff like that, or continually call Apple for updates even before the Delivery date has passed by. I personally like the anticipation, almost like Christmas!

FINALLY something happened overnight! By my count today is the 5th business day. Any chance it will get here tomorrow? Maybe if it ships from the U.S. I suppose?

Lantau island is where the airport is in HK so I bet Fed Ex planes are being loaded right now.
If mine is just being prepared for shipment I may get it on the 25th! Yikes!

Not going to happen. I would say you have at least a few more days to wait. Probably another 3-5 days.

Shipping in 3-5 business days does not mean the same as delivery. I think a lot of people here are missing that very important fact. When you bought your iPad and it said 3-5 days that is not when it is going to get to your house. It is when it is going to leave the warhorse, or in this case the manufacturing plant in China.

If you are not already familiar with this page on apple's website I suggest you read it. Then maybe everyone will stopp bugging apple and let them deal with the hundreds of thousands of orders they received in less than a 24 hr window.

They are doing the best that they can.

Not trying to be mean or rude but there is
No way. There are many of us who had our stuff
Prepared to ship early yesterday morning
And things started to get going but then
24hrs later our packages still aren't in the
States yet. Most people get their package
2 business days after it hits the us but it really
Depends. Mine shipped yesterday and my
Current delivery date is the 22. Some people
Are getting theirs earlier than their delivery
Dates but I have NEVER once received a package
Early. It's like the other poster said. They
Look at it and see no rush so they wait another
Day. There's even a status for their
Tracker site that says " not due for deliver"

Um, no it is the fourth business day. The day you place the order does not count 🙂

I feel your pain! I ordered the same unit at 3:07am PST - been in "prepared for shipment" status since 9am EDT, Monday, 3/14. I so hoped I'd wake up to a shipping notice this morning!
 
I have 4 packages shipped on 4 consecutive days with 3 different original arrival dates all stuck on Lantau Island now with a delivery date on the 22nd.
 
I just got a status update on Fedex tracker,

now it has it in South Korea, It sure seems to be taking the scenic route.

Whats next Russia?

Status Finally Changed!

Ordered 64GB wifi+3G iPad 2 in black @ 1:00am 11 March.

It NOW changed from "Not Yet Shipped" to "Prepared for Shipping".

So... There is hope. It's estimated delivery date is 18-25 March. If it makes it by the 25th, I'll be surprised. 2 weeks is ridiculous for shipping.

Me too. Checked the order over my morning coffee hoping see it finally on it's way and no dice. I now have a smart cover, a camera kit, a dock, and an extra charger... just no 32Gig AT&T 3G iPad.

I made it 12 months without an iPad, why have the last 6 days been so hard?
 
Still not yet shipped

Ordered 16gb/wifi+3G/att/white on 3/11 at 1:08a pst. Hopefully some activity will happen today. Although yesterday I received the AV adapter. Funny thing is that the shipping label said Laguna, CA yet tracking was from Shenzen to my office suite???? Why wouldn't the label just say Shenzen, China (as place of origin)?? Kind of had me thinking this thing was in the US the entire time. 😕
 
Those who asserted that Apple would ship some from inside the U.S. are wrong, right? I haven't seen anyone post that to be true...

I ordered the 16GB 3G White at 1:12 PST and when I called to check on the status the customer service person told me that that the white ipad2's went the fastest and there was a back order. I was very calm and friendly and asked if I would still receive by the 25th. He put me on hold and when he came back he said I should get it by the 25th but since (i am guessing) it might be delayed he offered me a cover, headphones, a charger or an ipad dock. I opted for the ipad dock. I didn't ask for anything nor was I expecting anything free. I guess it just depends on the rep you get when you call.

Keep the faith. I am typing on my new iPad. But I totally understand what you mean. I felt the same way knowing it was kinda petty esp. Since the tsunami in Japan happened eve of Launch Day and I was reading all the updates. But I thank it's precisely b/c we were real lay waiting for the ipad2 since the original launch day. Hang in there!

I am well familiar with what was stated when I ordered, nor am I upset. Just curious if any were shipping from the u.s., thats all.
