16 gig, wifi, engraving. Ordered the 11th at 3:59AM EST.

Cheers!

Anyone had their ipad 2 delivery before the date listed on the fedex "estimated delivery date"?
Mine 2 days, it also showed it was at FEDEX waiting for delivery, when it was on the truck, pulled up at 4pm and shocked me.

Wow what was quick. My Fedex depot isn't that far from my office and I never get my packages that fast, lol. Enjoy.

Anyone know if this is correct? Looking at the Fed Ex Website is looks like flights from Shenzhen go directly to Memphis and Lantau Island go to Memphis via Alaska. My cover went Shenzhen to Lantau to AK to Memphis to Albany to me.

I ask because my cover is out for delivery and was in Memphis last night. My scheduled date for the IPAD is the 22nd. However, it says my IPAD went from Shenzhen to Lantau then Shenzhen (opposite of the cover) and has left from Shenzhen. I hope it is going directly to Memphis, will get there today, and to me tomorrow just like the cover did last night.

Is this a pipe dream??? Will they just hold it in Memphis or the local airport b/c the delivery date is the 22nd.

Thanks to anyone who knows how this might work.

Just called Apple to ask if there is any problem with ATT white model. She put me on hold for a minute or so and came back to say that I should see some movement on my order today. It is still stuck on "yet to ship." Now, instead of every hour, I'll have to hit refresh every 2 or 3 minutes!

Every time I have called apple over the years the customer service has been friendly and (I think) honest. This time was no different. In fact, she was so pleasant that I couldn't even bring myself to ask for something free as others have done.

Has Anyone That Ordered There Ipad 2 After The 11th Receive Or See Any Change In There Order Status. Just Wanted To do A Little Analyzing To See if There Is A pattern With Process/Shipping Times.

Mine flipped to prepared status last night, now waiting for it to flip to shipped status. Ordered on March 11 at 3:44am EST, black 64 gig at&t, no engraving.

Hong Kong is on the other side of the international date line.

that litterally has NOTHING to do with anything. if you travel west it would make a difference but coming east and the direction that the world rotates should tell you that the date line means nothing. the day doesnt change when u cross the dateline. sometimes it does depending on LT.

i use fedex and ups ALOT and ive noticed in general fedex will deliver like right at their deadline which sucks (to massachusetts)

UPS on the other hand and especially the UPS new jersey facility is state of the art and can move things in 1 day to new england and deliver way early

I prefer UPS

Fedex drags their feet all the time - my thought is they will look at the package and say "oh we got 1 more day for that, skip it"

I have to disagree with you here, because to me, FedEx is cheaper, quicker, delivers earlier, and has a cool logo :D
I originally used UPS but i switch over to FedEx for shipments mainly because they deliver home shipments on Saturday which is a plus, in comparison to UPS.

Finally !

I ordered the same model at 12:49am pt on the 11th. Went to prepared to ship on Monday morning at 6am and is still there.

I'm not sure what prepared to ship means other than paperwork is done.

I haven't seen anyone post that they have received this model yet.

Exact same here. My black 16GB 3G ATT has been preapared to ship since Sunday night.

My 16 GB wifi will be delivered today but man I wish there was SOME progress on my 3G iPad.

I ordered both iPads at 1 am PDT (3-5 day ship range) on the 11th.

Just Talk To a Apple rep On The Phone She Stated That She Is Seeing Some Early Movement Today. Ipads That Are Due To Ship On April 1 Are Being Processed For Shipping So Sound Off With Your Order Dates
(AFTER THE 11TH) So I Can Figure Out A Pattern.

sorry, we've done all this before and there is no pattern

From the sound of it in this thread, many have achieved their "free product" or "free shipping upgrade" by acting like spoiled children or by downright lying about a "friend's" experience. I'm not sure how anyone can take that approach and brag about it much less be proud of their "accomplishment."

Apple hasn't missed their delivery projections, yet. I ordered very early last Friday (1:06 AM PST) and mine just went to "Prepared for Shipment" last night. I believe they said "shipping within 3-5 business days, and I think they are still within that window. My perspective is that some on this thread are earning the reputation so many foreigners give Americans. Very sad, but also an interesting societal "experiment."

Agree.

Oops, sorry, over looked the after March 11 part, clearly refreshing endlessly has compromised my ability to read!

Shipping from Chicago?

I am well familiar with what was stated when I ordered, nor am I upset. Just curious if any were shipping from the u.s., thats all.

A CS on the phone told me that she is seeing that my 64-White-ATT will be coming from a warehouse L140. She said that is their Chicago location. Not sure why she would have this info.

i ordered my ipad 2 64GB AT&T 3G Black model at 12:42AM PST on the launch day of Friday the 11th. It shipped on Monday the 14th and it's on the Fedex truck for delivery to the east coast on Thursday the 17th.

That's amazing given the explosion of demand. Well done, Apple. Anyone who finds this to be less than stellar... well, you've got unrealistic expectations.

Now, where's that FedEx guy????
