I guess the expectation is that those of us who ordered the exact same model as you did within 5 minutes of your order would have shipped also and not be waiting in Prepared to Ship limbo.
I ordered @12:47am and it's sitting in HK and has been there since yesterday around this time. I think the system is not updating but it may be sitting there. My Smart Cover was shipped yesterday morning and it is already headed to Alaska.

Stuck in Lantau since 1155pm HKT yesterday
Folks I am with a lot of the others on this board and have been waiting almost 24hours to see any movement of my 32g - black - verizon off of the Island. Does anyone know if a plane was due to arrive in ANC or MEM via Hong Kong sometime in the last 12 hours? If so, has anyone seen an update on their tracking?? Mine (eventually I assume) is headed to Columbus, OH one of these days...

Wow, why don't you look up what the international date line is and how it affects flights going from asia to the us before spouting off a bunch of nonsensical crap.
I think I'm in the same bulk....but at least I can see that it finally left the island (bye-bye Lantau)

....though I'm still doubting a Friday delivery as I had hoped for.

Just got off the phone with fedex to see if they would be able to hit the Friday delivery date since my package was listed as still in hong kong. After being transferred a couple times I talked to a rep in international shopping. She said she knew of at least one case where there wasn't enough space available for apple to ship all it's orders. She also inferred that more could go out though other channels but apple opted for only fedex flights to be used.
I was calling for pickup they told me apple required at least 1 home delivery attempt. So If it did come sat I'd have to wait until monday

And I ordered mine at 12:44am PST, same model, and it's still prepared to ship. The randomness is far from stellar.

Just be happy Apple didnt choose / or fedex didnt switch to their
"Fedex Smart Post" delivery option where it travels a little ways on fedex then is handed over to USPS for delivery

Ordered 16gb/wifi+3G/att/white on 3/11 at 1:08a pst. Hopefully some activity will happen today. Although yesterday I received the AV adapter. Funny thing is that the shipping label said Laguna, CA yet tracking was from Shenzen to my office suite???? Why wouldn't the label just say Shenzen, China (as place of origin)?? Kind of had me thinking this thing was in the US the entire time.

I saw a similar post yesterday, could be something to it. One possibility is that they don't don't have enough shipping resources in China to handle the volume in the stated delivery timeframe and they need to process some in other locations.
Looking at flight tracker yesterday evening Fedex had two flights directly from Hong Kong to Memphis that were listed as unscheduled flights and were most likely charter flights. Could be they were bringing the IPads here to be shipped.
Just speculation because there has been very little progress on ATT models after they move to Prepared to Ship status.
Mine has been "prepared for shipment" since 6 PM last night.

Sorry If I came off like I was ranting at you. My comments were more directed at the general community that is complaining.
Must be keeping mine company it has been sitting there for over 48 hours with a delivery date of 3/22 which is after the original late date of 3/21.
Last scans of Lantau Island HK @ 11:55
My last scan on fedex.com is also Lantau Island at 11:55, however looking on my system at work (I work at FedEx), it shows enroute to Anchorage and due to arrive at 1:37pm Alaska time today. I imagine many of those with 11:55 Lantau Island scans are on the same plane as mine.
