I have the exact same schedule as you. Thanks for the link! I hope mine is on that flight as well. Curious though, how did you manage to track down the info on that flight with your shipping info? My wife's didn't ship until today and I'd like to do the same with her iPad.
I called Fed Ex to see about a Saturday pick up - they told me if the delivery date wasn't until Monday, they wouldn't even unpack it until Sunday night. I don't know if that is because it is International - or if that is how they always do it? Mine came into Portland, and has just been sitting there for a few hours - doesn't even look like it went to a sort facility - it'll be interesting to see if it doesn't move until Sunday evening - I don't care anymore, as long as I see it by 10:30 on Monday!
I just can't understand the idea of not shipping internationally on a Saturday. Especially since saturday is the most convenient day for most customers. People have the day off on Saturday why not deliver, does fedex just not have the infrastructure UPS has? I've just never experienced such an asinine rule.
This is my first iPad so I was really disappointed I didn't get to try out the March Madness app during the current round of the tournament. Looked a lot better than the PC options on the cbs website.
Sadly - there is no way to tell, it depends on what model you ordered and the supply backup of that item, not when you placed your order. Sorry. I hope you see some info coming through soon!
Does anyone know, that was tracking their flight, how long after it lands that you get scanned and updated info? The flight I THINK I am on (hoping that I am on), should be landing in less than an hour. I am just trying to get a guideline for when I should see an update if I am actually heading towards Memphis.

Depends on how long it takes to get past customs. Could be about 24 hours.

Mine's here in Richmond at the sorting facility! Unfortunately, my delivery time still says 22nd? If it's not scanned on the truck by 8:am I'll be making my own pick-up attempt.
I don't understand it either - USPS delivers on Saturdays too - why not Fed Ex? It's obnoxious. I'm going to be so obsessed when it gets here, maybe it's better it doesn't come until Monday morning, so I can actually get some things done - this is my first iPad too. My husband has the original through his work - but I don't really use it - I am SO stoked!
I have never known UPS to Deliver on Saturdays... You have to pay a significant amount to get them to Deliver on Saturdays ($20 extra I think). Do you mean USPS?
But I do agree with you UPS and FEDEX should deliver on Saturdays!

I was just wondering if there was anything specific that made you zero in on this flight? Looks like landing is inside 20 minutes, hopefully we will know soon!Finally in Newark only like an hour and a half away I wish I could just get it tomorrow ugh. Waiting til Tuesday for it to get from Newark to the Lehigh valley in PA is going to make me mad.
Sorry for going offline for awhile... Just checked on Fedex.com about mine, and it shows that it is still on Lantau Island... Yahoo on the other hand is saying that it is still sitting on the ramp at Sennan-Shi... Delivery according to Fedex.com is still 3/22/11 before 4:30pm which is still possible.
FDX82 is 42 minutes from touching down in Memphis... I just looked on flightaware.com and found that there is 1 more flight from Kansai International to Anchorage leaving at 6pm...

I ordered my white iPad 2, 32gb, with 3g AT&T, with no engraving on March 11th at 12:56 am. To date, my ipad is still sitting in Lantau, HK and has been sitting in the same spot since the early morning of the 17th. It didn't even get picked up until the 16th.
So now what? I got this thing to take on vacation with me and it looks like I won't even be home to sign for the dumb thing.
I am wondering how many other people ordered this early and still have not received their ipad and still have it sitting in China?
How do you find out where it is rather than just using the tracking number? Is there a chance it is really someplace else and not being tracked correctly?

Yes I got 5-7 days and its been Shipped since the 15th (Prepared to Ship Late Saturday Night).
Mine is like 30 minutes away and i cant even pick up early from fedex.
That sucks. I really want mine for Monday bc I take a bus into NYC to work but it looks like I'll just have to wait until the next week. And I can put off paying 20 extra for the stupid AT&T tethering plan so I can use my iPhone 4 as a hotspot for another couple days. Sucks that it's the weekend ours would probably come within a day or 2.
