Fedex shows my iPad at LANTAU ISLAND HK
but Yahoo Fedex tracking now has it at SENNAN-SHI. You might want to try the Yahoo Fedex tracking to see where they show it.

The smart cover didn't go back to SENNAN-SHI - it went from NARITA-SHI to Alaska.
NM, when I copied it somehow added an "E" to my number. Now I see that the package shows:

Not true.... When Apple typically has stock on hand they ship within 24 hours -- this is very common for Apple. So "Literally everything" is a bit of an exaggeration. Their shipping times typically increase when they don't have stock on hand. That's why it felt like Apple launched without having the stock ready.
Regarding the other points you made about Apple still well within the bounds of what they promised, I think that you are 100% right. But like you said, you did not direct those comments at my previous post, those were just a general statement and I do wholeheartedly agree with you on that.
I ordered a 64 GB WiFi 3G AT&T Black at 1:07 am on March 11 and it arrived in Memphis last night. Since it is Saturday I think it will be stuck there until Monday. I am in LA. Expected delivery is Tuesday, March 22 by 10:30 am. I note some other orders to California flew to Anchorage and then to California.
Not sure why mine flew right over me to Memphis and now must come back cross country.

I wonder if they have a charging station on board? - I'd hate to get the travelers with dead batteries
I'm not even looking forward to getting mine next week. I've been on Spring Break all week expecting to have my iPad to mess around with and now school starts back Monday. I have 2 mid-term exams this upcoming week and I will not be able to focus with having a new iPad. 
I ordered my smart cover (and ipad) at 3:11 on March 11 and it arrived on Saturday the 12th.
Still no movement on my iPad.
Here in Delaware I've had FedEx deliver on Saturdays because they don't deliver on Mondays. 4 days left for delivery...
I was under the impression that FedEx ground delivers to homes Tuesday thru Saturday. They take off Sunday and Monday.
Regular FedEx operates Monday thru Friday.

Apple did not meet their shipping requirement despite them telling me I would be upgraded to priority shipping and that I would receive it in the window listed on the status. Well I did not get priority shipping and my delivery date has slipped to the 24th. I ordered my 32g WI-fi 3G at 1:15pst. Wish I would have ordered from AT&T now.

My 16GB Black WiFi & 16GB Black AT&T (5:09am PDT on 3/11) are still showing as Not Yet Shipped on Apple's website, but my credit card got temped last night for them both.
