Im with you guys same delivery date! If they even make it on the 0830 EDT flight out of their I dont see how they will be through Anchorage and to us by tomorrow. Especially since most I have seen on here make a stop in SENNAN-SHI before they get to Anchorage. Im in Kentucky.

still in prepared to ship. i think they missed the 5-7 business day estimate today.

I am in NJ as well. My Apple delivery date is tomorrow while FedEx is saying Thursday. Not sure how they going to make the Thursday date if it's still vacationing at Lantau Island.

If it does not get ship by end of business day today (PDT) then call Apple. You never know they might give you a free cover.

Don't hold your breath just yet. A lot of us have had ours chilling in hong kong for the 5 th day. Yours may be taking a vacation too.

There's a flight leaving out of HK to Memphis @ 22:15(HK Time)/10:15(EST).

that was easy!
I called them and i told them that why when i was ordering the shipping timeline was 5-7. but when I finishes my order my shipping timeline was 2-3 weeks!
The girl who i talked to told me that she does not knoe why that happend but she offered two smart covers for free because i ordered two ipads!

Mine is now out for delivery - looks like I got lucky today.

I wonder how common it is to be in the shower or walking your dog when the fedex guy/girl comes to your door =)

That's why you don't do ANYTHING while expecting a delivery. And if you must use the bathroom, you mute the TV and do your business with the door open so you don't miss the knock on the door. You didn't think they'd use the doorbell, right?

I kid, I kid. Sort of.

IF your ipad can catch a flight out of China today and somehow make it to Memphis, then it's certainly possible. Mine was in Japan literally16 hours ago, and it's on the truck for delivery. I don't want to give you false hope, but it's certainly possible.

I still have the same thing but as far as I can tell FedEx flight 14 to Anchorage hasn't left yet, running late.

hehehe yeah, my poor doggie. I came back from a jog and it was my intention to walk her... then I checked my status...

She settled for a nice jaunt in the backyard and I promise to walk her before I open my ipad =)

I had to take a shower, but I'm a guy, and it takes me 2 minutes. So, I did risk that, but there was no harm... at least, he didn't leave a sticker on the door... =)

But I really wonder how common it actually is to actually be home and miss the knock.

I right there with you. A flight just left this morning for Anchorage. Let's hope we are on it. Otherwise we may be going through Japan.
 
Ahhh... Rat farts! My iPad got into MEM at about 1200ET and cleared customs at about 1230ET, but didn't get on the plane at 0430 ro RIC. I was hoping I'd get it a day early, but fedex is dammed determined not to get my iPad to me until the date they came up with (tomorrow).

Oh well.

looking like mine is going to miss the delivery date fedex has - i live in boston and it was in boston yesterday, by they seem to have put it back onto a plane to MN, it's now back in bulk sort in Memphis TN since 11:30Pm past night. delivery was supposed to be today, but its not going to make it from Memphis back to the boston area for delivery by 4:30pm i am pretty sure.

I'm in the Boston area as well and the package has been in Memphis since last night. There doesn't seem to be a flight to Boston until the afternoon, so we can hope for tomorrow...
 
Thanks to everyone for all the logistics info... So I guess there's a second flight today and mine could make still make it out. FedEx won't do a hold for pick-up without Apple's "OK" has anyone tried this?

I am also in Jersey. My iPad is still in Memphis, but the delivery date, according to FedEx, is still tomorrow by 4:30PM.

C'mon FedEx, you can do it!
