I ordered at 9:30am EST on March 11th and it still hasn't shipped yet.

I ordered @ 9:12am EST the same day and mine hasn't shipped either. And 10 minutes ago a co-worker of mine walks over and shoves the same model, version iPad2 I ordered in my face. He spent the last hour waiting on line at our local Apple Store at the mall.

wow, after being stuck in Lantau Limbo for four straight days, my ipad apparently just arrived in anchorage a few minutes ago.

this is a 1:22am PDT launch day black ATT WiFi 3G model.

looks like they'll make that estimated delivery date, after all.

After not getting an "in transit" notification like many others listed here, surprised (and delighted) that mine was also on the pallet that made it to Alaska this AM.

If it is anything like my cover, it will sit in Alaska for 24 hours before going to Memphis and then on to DC. Still on track for Thursday delivery, though fingers crossed they get it out tomorrow.

Does anyone know the flight times from alaska or how to find them? I am in Texas and my ipad was with the 6:00 alaska check ins

Finally left TA YUAN HSIANG, but where the hell it goes after is anyone's guess. With my luck, it's prolly on its way to Africa to chill out with the lions and secret tribal moments.

I'm right there with you. I believe they are on FedEx flight 14 to Anchorage. If so it is due to arrive there around noon Anchorage time.

From there I'm not sure in looking at the history of this flight from last week it sometimes went to Indianaplois and sometime to Memphis.

I am also in Jersey. My iPad is still in Memphis, but the delivery date, according to FedEx, is still tomorrow by 4:30PM.

C'mon FedEx, you can do it!

I also missed those 2 early morning flights to NJ. There are no other flights today. So expecting Thursday which is what fedex is telling me now.

I am in NJ as well. My Apple delivery date is tomorrow while FedEx is saying Thursday. Not sure how they going to make the Thursday date if it's still vacationing at Lantau Island.

Waiting to the last minute

Ahhh... Rat farts! My iPad got into MEM at about 1200ET and cleared customs at about 1230ET, but didn't get on the plane at 0430 ro RIC. I was hoping I'd get it a day early, but fedex is dammed determined not to get my iPad to me until the date they came up with (tomorrow).

Oh well.

Mine is right there with you headed to Ohio. I could drive to Memphis in about 9 hours. FedEx isn't showing delivery until Thursday. It has been disappointing waiting a day for it to move again. It seems that FedEx only works for midnight to 1:00am. When it absoultely, positivitly has to be there tomorrow, use UPS.....

I placed my order for a white 32 Wi-Fi only iPad at 6:47 AM PST on 3/11 and it appears that my American Express card received a pending charge for the iPad today. I have not received the shipment notification yet from Apple, but I hope this is a good sign that it will be shipped this week. My original ship date from Apple was 4/1 with delivery by 4/8. I'm assuming that one a charge shows up that means it's just about ready to be shipped?

YAHHHHHH!!!! we're on US soil! The 3-23 date is looking doable, yesterday there was a flight that went from Anchorage to Newark, NJ (not Memphis) left at 4pm (Alaska Time) and arrived in Newark at 2AM... this was the route that my cover also took, btw... if the same flight schedule goes out today, I will almost definitely have it tomorrow!

The more I think about it, the theory/story that the pallet was too big, was ONLY an explanation as to why we didn't get ours early (as many others did). There is a significant amount of sorting going on in Lantau. Evidence of this is the fact that I have 2 (blk-64 att) iPads coming (1 ordered @ 1:09am w/ 3-23 date and the other 1:45am w/ 3-24 date, same shipto). At first the 2nd iPad was a day behind, both ended up in Lantau for the long stay and now both were on this Anchorage flight... Long story short (too late), the 2nd iPad will be be a day earlier than FedEx said, simply because they realized they were going to the same location/area... I'm sure this was the case with many of those that got theirs early
