Not to try to stay on topic or anything but has anyone received any new iPad 2 shipping notices?

I happened to check pending charges on my credit card this morning and the iPad was just charged today. I ordered a white 32GB Wi-Fi only model on 3/11 at 6:47 AM PST. I should receive a shipping notice any day now I suppose.

Amazing -- I ordered at 12:54AM on 3/11 -- Black AT&T 64GB, and it's STILL stuck with a HK status (maybe it left, but hasn't scanned elsewhere yet). I'm getting really upset about this now -- how the heck is it supposed to make it to socal by the scheduled delivery of 3/23 at this rate? People who ordered long after me have received theirs

Mine (with many others) was in Lantau until today 1am EST, now it is in Anchorage and hopefully on a flight to Newark leaving today around 7:50PM EST arriving 2am EST. If yours leaves on the 1AM flight tonight, yes there is certainly a chance you will have it on time. If FedEx is still showing that date, there is no reason to believe otherwise. There have been very few people who posted that their order arrived LATER than the estimated date. Only ones that I remember seeing were orders who were delayed in the local delivery to their house... it should at least get to your local sorting facility by that date.

Thanks - that makes sense. I think reading people saying their iPad was on Lantau for 4 days/mis-delivered by Fedex/etc. just has me expecting the worst for mine. Hope you're right!

It has left for sure. It wont show again until it arrives at destination. You may be lucky and going directly to Memphis. Hope so !

My iPad has similar scan history, and I am pretty sure we are on FDX 14 to Anchorage which is scheduled to arrive around noon Anchorage time. Should have enough time to transfer to flight to lower 48. We still have a shot at tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Fedex tracking was spot-on. Yahoo's was a little faster but not by much.

I enjoyed the suspense and part of me is sad that it's here now. Having is not such a great thing as wanting.

Yeah the anticipation has definitely added to the excitement. I wish the tracking was a day off and mine would be here today. I might not be able to sleep tonight (I need to get a life ha).

the same boat! Friday's fedex quote was delivery by March 23rd at 4:30 but now, the date is March 24th

I just got a status update about a half hour or so ago, and I was re-checked in Lantau Island. My targeted delivery date was always Thursday 3/24, and it still is.

I don't see how they're going to do this, since we know they tend to sit for a little while at their first stop in the US to clear customs, but I'm trying to trust in the fact that FedEx does this all the time & are generally good at what they do.

It is so frustrating the lack of organization to get first sold to be first shipped.

Add me to the list of stuck in HK for days with a 24th deliver date that seems plainly impossible.

My solace is this thread of the likewise in misery/anticipation. Please someone make a better product so that Apple actually feels financial motivation to treat customers well. Plainly Apple is shipping enough units to justify shoving things out in the market before they are logistically prepared over proper execution and core customer satisfaction. They don't need to make their core customers happy, the numb and dumb masses will be buying theirs at Walmart in a 2 months no matter what The numb and dumb buyer is what Apple is now after.

I had called fedex this morning and she told me it was moving out of HK , but website never said left HK, just arrived in AK at 6am. So i still on for tomorrow hopefully. I can also verify -- ordered an iPad at approximately 8:30a (EST), slated for an April 1st shipping date, but its status has updated to 'Prepared for Shipment'.

Additionally, I have an iPad sitting on Lantau Island (2nd day) assuming it is trying to make a flight at some point.

That's why you don't do ANYTHING while expecting a delivery. And if you must use the bathroom, you mute the TV and do your business with the door open so you don't miss the knock on the door. You didn't think they'd use the doorbell, right?

I kid, I kid. Sort of.

I put a sign on the door that said " Knock loud enough to make the dog bark". The FedEx guy thought it was so funny he actually stayed on the porch until I got to the door.
