FedEx Flight 14 from Taiwan

For those of us on this flight our IPad's are one hour from Anchorage.

Mine is still showing tomorrow, so there is a glimmer of hope. I am in Essex County NJ. Where are you expecting delivery?

I can't believe that mine arrived in Memphis on the same place and couldn't be sent on either of the next two planes to Jersey. Very happy for you though

32 GB white wifi iPad 2, ordered at 2:30 p.m. EST, March 11, original estimated shipping date of April 1 and delivery date of April 6. Shipping email just received showing 11 p.m. CMT, March 22 shipment from Shenzhen, estimated delivery date of March 29. Delivery is to northern Virginia.

I will never understand how this is happening, other than possibly they're shipping the least of the popular models to people who ordered well after those with popular models. I ordered my 64GB ATT BLACK @ 9:12am EST on 3/11, well before you did, and yours has already been shipped. Don't get me wrong - good for you - but just wondering what's going on over there.

Wait, I'm confused. Didn't Apple start taking orders just a few hours before 5-6? If so, how is it progress if they're just starting to ship this many days later?

They started accepting web orders just before 1am PST on 3/11.

I guess everyone sees it differently. A large block of orders were made at 1am pacific which were declared to ship soon. Orders an hour or two later were labeled within a week( I think ). Ones after like 5am pacific were starting to get that april first tag. Since some april first ones are shipping now I see that as progress and ahead of schedule.

I dont disagree that we should be waiting but the high demand and progressing ahead of their set expectations is better than nothing at this point.

I hear ya. I guess they didn't plan on so many people ordering the ATT versions since Verizon got onboard with being able to offer 3G. I had heard there would be flocks and flocks of people dropping ATT and going with Verizon once they were available; guess not. Oh well, I sit here and wait for mine. At least I'll be doing that until my cruise on April 9th.

i agree. though my ship time was 5-7 days and am in "prepared for shipping" status, seeing the April 1st start shipping is a bit frustrating. i don't want a free cover or anything, just what i ordered. i guess as long as they get it here before the 29th, they wont have missed the expected delivery date they gave me.

i just spoke with fedex and they said that it is being "sent through" and is on a flight or about to be on the next one. the rep said that i should expect to have it by 430pm on thursday

I don't understand how. On avg AT&T is 2x faster than verizons 3G service.

Anyone on here had their iPad delivered to Tulsa, OK? If so please post your tracking info from once it hit the states. Trying to gauge when mine will arrive. It isn't due until Thursday but it sounds like a lot are getting here early by a day or so. I leave for vacation tomorrow evening and really want to get my hands on it and get it synced before I go.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Mine is scheduled to be here by 1630 on the 23rd.
I believe its currently of FDX14 to Anchorage, landing at about 1520 Central time.
Not Tulsa but pretty close..

It says mine is the 24th, but I am still on the Island (have been for 2 days now).

This is a different flight than the one that came from Hong Kong earlier.

Some of us left Lantau Island yesterday morning and spent the night in Taiwan.

We got a later start on the day though but we are coming back together now for hopefully a flight to Memphis.

my info says it landed in Alaska at 6am (alaska time) and now it says

There is a flight from Lantau to AK that leaves about 1:00AM EST tonight... if you see a "left ramp" time stamp in your FedEx tracking after that flight leaves then your iPad is on that flight... in which case you still would have a pretty good shot at getting your order on time

Your status means you have cleared customs and can now proceed to other locations in the U.S.

I am in the same boat. When Apple shipped my order they said it would delivered on 23rd. and FedEx is saying 24th. Currently my ipad is stuck on Lantau for last three days. So now sure how it's going to make it to my door step before 4:30pm on the 24th.
