My 16Gb AT&T Black has finally moved to "Prepared for shipment" overnight. But then my Orange cover has said the same thing since Friday so we'll see when it actually ships. At least it's something.
This also means that I now have to stop looking at local stores since I can no longer cancel the order. So hurry up and ship it.

16GB Black Verizon with engraving ordered at 6:57 am eastern. Still nothing. 
I think engraving must have killed me. I will have a nice orange cover soon.... I really hope it ships today for Friday delivery but I am not holding my breath.

Ordered 3/11 at 1:05am PST with the Navy Blue Leather Smart Cover. I received the Smart Cover on 3/12 (Saturday - my birthday) but its "crickets" on the ipad itself....still "Not Yet Shipped." Still encouraged though...as it still says 3-5 shipping days with a delivery date b/w 3/18-3/25.

For pre-orders, FedEx may hold if Apple wants. Remember the iPhone4 rollout? I got mine a day before the scheduled release.
What time and date did you order yours? Man this is making me mad.....
Apple really screwed up this entire roll-out! Running out of stock in the stores, no PRE-orders, no store reservations.... All to make it difficult to buy in thie first few days and generate the longest lines and publicity for apple.... And then to screw people who clearly ordered before others and have the folks who bought LATER get theirs first! Sucks. Thanks, apple.

did you opt to get it Engraved? This is the main reason most are getting orders shipped earlier than others.
My 32GB Black Wi-Fi shipped about an hour ago.

No, that's what's got me hot under the colar! No engraving, nothing. But others that ordered AFTER are getting their first.
FedEx only holds when the product hasn't been released. They've been specifically notified not to delivery product until that date. However dates don't apply to products already released. And, it costs more for FedEx to hold off delivery. They only do so when client (apple, before relase date) demands it.

Be patient people, Apple's order system is under huge load, I bet your iPad is in transit and you don't even know it....relax, go back to sleep, eat a peach, go for a run, hike, ski, all the things you used to do before your whole world became these devices.....eye-contact, not i-Contact.....remember?

What the F dude. My 64GB white WiFi unit has been 'prepared to ship' since early Saturday with no updates since... I'm hoping it suddenly appears on the radar in Alaska or somewhere, anywhere but China. I leave for vacation the afternoon of the 18th and its looking like my iPad will not be making the trip with me...
