Prepared for shipment (although not yet shipped)

16GB WiFi ATT 3G BLACK ordered 2:44am PST on March 11 (Friday). Status just changed to "Prepared for shipment;" it wasn't an hour ago. Whew. I though I was going to be living with the black leather cover (shipped 03/13) instead of what it was intended for.

Seems I was "very late" in placing my order - 2:44am PST, although under 2 hours after on-line ordering began. It's taken awhile before they even prepared my order for shipment but it does seem as if the 3G ATT orders are starting to ship.

I wonder how many orders they received between 12:30am PST and 3am PST.

AT&T 64 GB Black "Shipped"

Just got my shipment notification a few minutes ago -- delivers by March 21st (next Monday)!
 
Update: My FedEx number shows a delay in shipping. I got my shipping notification around midnight (central) last night with an Apple delivery of 3/21 and FedEx of 3/17. It now has a delivery of of 3/18 by 4:30 PM from FedEx, but I'm not sure if that's cause the "local time" from the origin will be on the 18th or if it is actually expected to get here a day later.

As always, 16gb, black wifi with engraving ordered at 3:03 AM central.
 
My Black 16gb AT&T has finally been processed for shipping. Ordered at 4:11am est on the 11th. Now waiting for tracking number. Looks to be delivered within the timeframe given by apple.

Well, obviously a lot of other people's iPads were shipped out earlier because of how Apple is apparently sending them out.

But yeah, I was one of the first to actually order: 12:40 AM PST on 3/11.

still no movement on the verizon 32gb black ipad. ordered 3:07am central on 3/11/2011. anybody else have this problem to with the verizon 3g's?

Maybe if I go your route, Apple will be kind enough to grant me a shipping time before I have to run to work! 😀

1:01am order time, seriously sad that I'm not seeing a shipped on a bleepin' iPad White 64GB WiFi yet. Still in holding queue for PREPARING TO SHIP...been that way since...uhm, Saturday afternoon? 😀

Finally, my Engraved iPad2 is being Prepared for Shipment. 😀
Hoping it will be shipped by tomorrow and I can receive it by Friday or Sautrday this week.

What is up with folk order AFTER other folks but getting theirs shipped already or even prepared for shipment?

I ordered at 1:11AM PT March 11 and my AT&T 64GB Black still is not prepared.

Getting real ticked off at apple.
 
Shipped! 32GB Black Wi-Fi ordered 4:04 PT March 11 (more than 3 hours after online orders started and when shipping was "5-7 days" already.) Delivery is currently scheduled to the midwest on March 17, 1 day prior to earliest predicted SHIPPING time! Way to go Apple. 😀

Apple promised you a set of delivery dates and shipping window. They have not missed that window and they will not miss that window. While it appears Wi-Fi units are getting shipped earlier than Apple predicted I don't understand how you can get "real ticked off at apple" that they aren't shipping EARLIER than they promised you. You'll get your iPad on time, relax.
 
Got an Email this morning at 4 am EST that my Black Leather Smart Cover has finally shipped! But after checking FedEx "Shipment information sent to FedEx
Please check back later for shipment status or subscribe for e-mail notifications"
So hopefully I'll see an update later today, I really hope it doesn't arrive after my iPad, Apple says the 21st but I hope that is a really conservative estimate.

64GB Wifi (Black) ordered at 12:51AM PST and I'm still in "Not Yet Shipped" status. 🙁. I really wish I could understand how Apple is processing orders.

Good news though, my orange smart cover has shipped and will be here on Thursday! 🙄

I am in the same boat. I'm just going to expect it next week. I agree Apple has failed when they mentioned fast delivery. My 64GB ATT iPad still hasn't progressed, and I ordered it as soon as it was available.

got my 64gb at&t 3g black ipad shipping notification! shipped on the 14th and should arrive on the 17th. so, if all goes according to plan, ordered on friday the 11th, shipped on monday the 14th and will arrive on thursday the 17th. well done, apple. well done.
 
I ordered my white 64GB WiF+3G AT&T @ 1:06AM PDT on 3/11.

Mine shipped on 3/13 @ 10:14PM and was in Lantau Island HK as of 3/14 @ 7:12AM.

Est. delivery is 3/18.

Delivery this Friday would make for a wonderful weekend!

I'm sure thy would, as long as they have it in stock. Not sure if you'll be able to skip the line though.
