Placed order for 64GB-Black-AT&T, 12:42 PST on the 11th, shipped on 14th, due on the 18th. Got this notice at 4:25 PST.

Be patient people, Apple's order system is under huge load, I bet your iPad is in transit and you don't even know it....relax, go back to sleep, eat a peach, go for a run, hike, ski, all the things you used to do before your whole world became these devices.....eye-contact, not i-Contact.....remember?

I am most excited to pick my wife up from the airport in a few hours, I miss her and she is far better than the iPad I bought her...:)

Easy to say this when you have shipping confirmation.

White 64GB WiFi

Ordered the 11th at 12:55AM PST.

Ship date Mar 14, 2011 via Fedex

:D:D:D

For everyone dissapointed about having no shipment, i will admit than i am lucky and mine was shipped as of 10am on Saturday 12th. However, i am in the UK, and have to wait another 5 days as the ebay seller i bought it off to redirect it back over my way.

I bet i still wait longer to receive it than you guys, so don't get to angry ;)

What the F dude. My 64GB white WiFi unit has been 'prepared to ship' since early Saturday with no updates since... I'm hoping it suddenly appears on the radar in Alaska or somewhere, anywhere but China. I leave for vacation the afternoon of the 18th and its looking like my iPad will not be making the trip with me...

No, but you neighbors will keep it warm.

I myself have never been so obsessed with a shipment of an order like I am with this one... :(

I ordered a 32Gb Black Wifi, a Black Smart Cover and the Camera Connection kit around 9am ET on the 11th. I've received 3 separate tracking #s from FedEx (on 3 separate days over the weekend - well, Friday until today) and each one indicates delivery by 4:30pm on the 17th (which happens to be my birthday - good timing, I think!). :)

I awoke this morning to find my two iPads mentioned below now shipped (directly from Shenzen)! I should have them Wednesday or Thursday. I have FedEx tracking numbers for each one separately.

I'm in Atlanta. I watched them update the iPad store purchase links in real time and purchased right after (12:44AM PST - 3:44AM EST):

Product Qty. 2
IPAD WI-FI 3G 64GB BLACK-USA
Ships: 3 - 5 business days
Delivers: Mar 18 - Mar 25

This was for 2 64GB AT&T iPad2's as shown above. I just refreshed my order status and sill no shipping confirmation.

Still Not Shipping

I ordered 2 around 3:45am EST on the 11th. 16GB for my mom and a 64GB for myself. 16GB shipped on Saturday morning. 64GB is still in "Not Yet Shipped" limbo. Anyone else that ordered a non-3G 64GB get their shipping notification yet?

If you look at my other posts, I have been patient / optimistic the entire time. It really does help to distract your self with the more important things in life.

Seriously, I bet we both get our iPad's sooner than expected.....

I ordered the 64gb wifi in white and it still hasn't even gone in to the prepared for shipment. I ordered a 3:20am CST.

**Edit I also had mine engraved. Can that be why it is taking so long?

I honestly have seen several engraved ipads changing status before the same models that were ordered up to an hour later. (See my previous posts).

Ordered a 64gb 3G AT&T version, .... still waiting on my shipment to start being prepared. So far no action. However both my smart cover and hdmi connector have both been shipped.

This is my first time (It's been so long since I could say that) ordering a product through Apple on a realease day. I've seen in the past that they do pre-orders. Does anyone know why they didn't do it this time?
The whole system seems a bit chaotic and incredibly frustrating.

Slightly off-topic

I am a first time ipad buyer, who just barely talked himself off the ledge last August during the state tax holiday season. Now can't wait to get it, despite the obvious horrible camera performance, I still love it like the child I never had.
In an attempt to satiate my ipad craving I went to to a local Apple store and Best Buy to play with one meanwhile. Twice. I loved the contrast in salespeople's demeanor in both palces.

Best Buy sales reps were walking around with clipboards, not knowing what and where to stamp. Forms to fill out. Just like fish out of water. At least they were not pretending that they are somewhat taken aback by the whole thing. The snooty :apple: Apple "geniuses" were the usual selves -- giving random made up facts about ipad 2. I saw one, whose only job was to demonstrate how ipad smart cover works (and guard it closely from being shoplifted). He authoritatively stated that the ipad cover can be placed backwards while in use (i.e., with the microfiber side to the back of the ipad). Of course when he tried to demonstrate it, the magnets wouldn't stick to the opposite polarity.

Meanwhile in both stores the people playing with ipads were well-educated from the macrumors site. They were showering their friends with information about what was expected of ipad 2, what was delivered, what wasn't, and, ultimately why they should still planning to buy one. Power to the people.

As someone in marketing, I am envious and respectful of how Apple was able to go from a small-cult brand to an aspirational mass brand. Meanwhile, they are shaving off the market demand with every incremental innovation invest. Should have invested in Apple stock when I was a student...

We are flying!

Just called Fed EX and we are in the air first stop Alaska, then TN!

YAHOOOOOOO!

We are moving!
