An interesting distribution...

I have created a doodle to try and track where our Ipads are. If you were one of the geeks to woke up on the March 11th, and placed your order before 9 AM PDT, please go to this doodle to let us know where you are with your order status (due to limitation of doodling, assume that March 18th is March 11th for this poll purposes). When your status changes, please update your selection (just follow the instructions in the doodle. )

Remember to insert your ipad version instead of your name.

Please, no cheating (i.e. no ****ing around, edit only your responses, this is the only free tool I have access to, lets use it for good, not evil. If you respond to the poll through your own doodle account (or create a new one before responding), no one but you will be able to edit your reply later).

If you placed your order after 9 AM PDT on March 11th, you can still see how the shipments are fulfilled and guesstimate the speed of fulfillment for yours.

For people saying there item hasn't moved out of Hong Kong / Lantau Island for a few days, that is correct, as there is no departing planes going to Memphis from hong kong airport until today. The first direct flight is at roughly 8pm Hong Kong time, which is 8am in New York on the 14th i think.

Expect your shipping updates to change around that time, or for the next flight at 10am.

I was wondering if anyone would mention it, but FedEx only flies a plane out of there six times a week, and Sunday is the day they don't.

Mine just left Oakland for Honolulu with an estimated delivery on Wednesday. If it actually gets to Honolulu tonight it could really arrive tomorrow.

Considering I am in Atlanta I believe so.

Mine has changed from the 18th, to the 17th, and now Apple claims 16th. However the FedEx ticket has not been updated so it still shows 17th.

I ordered a 64-Black-Verizon iPad at 1:01 am with a Digital AV Adapter, Camera Kit, and Black Leather Smart Cover.

The Digital AV Adapter changed to "shipped" status on Saturday along with the Camera Kit a few hours later. The Smart Cover shipped was changed to "shipped" status on Sunday. But the iPad itself is still holding in "Prepared for shipment" -- hoping that changes today.

It would stink to have all the accessories, but not the iPad. Oh well, I guess I could play with the Digital AV Adapter and Camera Kit on my iPad-1.

The good news is that I was going to put my 32-WiFi+3G iPad-1 with its Eco-Vue case on Craigslist, but I get to skip the hassle since my sister-in-law decided to buy it off me as a birthday gift to her fiance. He's not a gadget nut like me so he's not one of those "gotta have the latest and greatest" kinda guys. I gave her a bit of a family discount ($400 versus $500) but saved myself the hassle of all the spam replies from Craigslist. So as soon as the new one arrives, I can reset the old one and unload it and recoup some of the costs.

No problem. I've been thinking and gave it some further thought, and i want to make sure people read this.

It's very possible you wont see a shipping update until the ipads have arrived in Memphis, they are already at Hong Kong airport and it's quite likely they won't be scanned and status updated again when they get on the plane

If you don't see a shipping update within the next 3 or 4 hours (The first Memphis flight is in 50 minutes, and another in 3 hours) then give it another 18 or 19 hours or so before you start moaning

I ordered my iPad2 just after 3am CST on 3/11 (I happened to wake up in the middle of the night and went for it!).

My iPad2 is estimated to ship within 3-5 days. I'm hoping I ordered early enough to be in the first wave of shipments.
