Fortunately for us that every other day would be today (The last one was on the 13th). I don't see why it shouldn't make today, it's only around 12am over there so they have quite a few hours to get sorted. Might be pushing it a bit i guess, we'll have to wait and see.

Id be willing to bet this is the plane they will all be on. Its the same plane they took fron HK so customs could just review the cargo while on the plane and then it will be on its way 2:35 pm AK time.

I don't live in the US, but does anyone know how long it will be for delivery now it's arrived in Anchorage ?

Yeah...seriously disappointed. Saying fast free shipping to me means it will arrive within the following week (even if ordered on Friday). I"m travelling on Sunday March 20th and honestly would have lined up if I thought it would have taken longer.

In fact, I was at Best Buy at 1:30 pm and there were 4 people in line. Best Buy guy told me to stay to get one...I opted out foolishly. Now, no iPad for me on my 4 day trip! Cry!
 
Called Apple again and hat a very nice representative on the phone. Called because I never received a conformation email.
2 good things: My order is alright and he told me, that I am in the first wave of shipments. TBH I do not know, if he really has more information about the shipment process, but I feel a bit better now :)

I would too, since I work late on Thursdays.

But I just doubt it since its standard shipping and not two day.

We can probably expect another day for it to get from AK to the Memphis hub (so some time Tuesday). Then another day for it to get from there to our local hubs (Wednesday) and then go out for deliver the next morning (Thursday as scheduled).

Oh well. Baring unanticipated meetings I should be able to work from home on Friday and goof around on the iPad a good bit!

Exactly, I thought ordering online with the strong possibility that it would get delivered the following/this week would be the easiest route than standing in line at an apple store. But now, I'm regretting my decision. This has put such a bad taste in my mouth, that I almost don't want the damn thing anymore. But, I did use $350 worth of Apple giftcards on it, and if i cancel the order then what?

I really do think the 3G models are unfortunately the least in supply and the online shoppers are at the end of the line to get them. ATT and Verizon stores have dibs along with every other Apple supplier.

My iPad was checked in at 10:33 AM Alaska time, and the flight arrived at 10:31 AM, so that matches up. Someone earlier was tracking the flight that left Narita, Japan, but our iPads were in Hong Kong and I'm pretty sure there was an earthquake/tsunami in Japan. That airport's last priority was our iPads.

Anyone have any concrete evidence of flights heading to Memphis later today?

I ordered same model just white at 1:19AM and still not yet shipped.
 
I just recieved an email stating that my ipad 64gb black wifi/3g AT&T iPad 2 just shipped and will arrive at my house in Michigan this Thursday the 17th!

Don't give up hope yet! I feel the same way about a bad taste in my mouth but we may still get them!
 
THIS IS INSANE!!!! After almost 2 days my iPad 2 is STILL "Prepared to Ship"!! This is making me very angry! :mad::mad::mad:

Is it possibly they are just not scanning all the iPads, and mine has shipped?

Update

Shipment tracking indicates Intl clearance in Anchorage today. Gather it will find it's way to Seattle for delivery tomorrow...I think :)

ordered it at 6:30am and have a quote of "5-7 business days", what are the chances that I will receive it by the 25th?
