i ordered two ipads, one 16GB wi-fi in black and one 16GB in white with blue smart covers for both. currently, the black ipad has arrived in Anchorage and both smart covers have arrived in Chicago, but the white ipad still says "yet to be shipped." odd that one has shipped and not the other, but at least the black ipad should arrive here in MN soon (fyi order was placed at 1:07 PT).

how long do you think it will take to get from AK to the final destination? Im in the Bay Area. I am trying to remember how long it took the last time when I got the first iPad. STEVE PLEASE NEXT TIME let us pre-order. It's killing me that friends and family have it already but I do not.
Same here, card has pending charges for the ipad, ordered at 12:44 am pst on the 11th, 32GB AT&T Black. Status "not yet shipped" Smart cover has tracking number but only says "data sent to fedex".

It's not even so much that I must have it in my hands immediately. I'm just worried I'll get a cancellation notice, even though the Apple rep says my order looks clear, payment looks fine, etc. And yes I know this is an iPad, not a transfusion, like someone said, but keeping things in that kind of perspective doesn't actually ever seem to stick!
That has happened to many of us as they typically ship out in model batches (versus each individual order). My wifi iPad shipped Saturday. My 3G wifi is only prepared to ship.
At least you'll have one soon!!

Same here, mine is arriving before the one I got for my parents.
Mine was shipped friday through macmall, and the tracking finally came through today at around 1:30. This means that it was not shipped until today. There is no estimated arrival time!! i am getting so impatient! On the bright side, my wireless keyboard just came today!

My 64 GB black with engraving was changed from not yet shipped to prepared for shipment last evening around 8:00 EST. It has not changed since.
How long have these been sitting in the prepared for shipment status? It seems like it should take that long for it to be given a FEDEX id and put on freaking plane.

Note that a "pending" or "hold" on your card is not the same thing as being charged.
It's going to sit there until they have a full load .. they need to prepare mines ASAP
