Well nearly everyone else using the Yahoo! FedEx tracker now says "Intl Release/Released for Delivery" if it's been in Anchorage for a while.
I can only imagine they have a problem sorting your parcel, or a problem with customs.

Thanks, my shipment claims it left an hour ago. Anyway, I will find out in 3 hours, when it lands. I have seen first wave order goes direct to Oakland, than to Los Angeles. Since the Memphis order can't handle so much at one time, I assume they just want to split the distribution.

Yep mines on the same plane as yours.. I'm guessing In transit mean its on its way to Memphis?
Ok just got off the phone with fedex. If your status is Held at Sort Facility from the yahoo tracker then it is being held for customs approval.
Just read that Apple Stores will be opening an hour early tomorrow to just handle iPad sales. They must be expecting big shipments to the stores. I will be VERY unhappy if I read about a lot of people swooping in and buying 64GB wifi only models since we have not seen many shipped from online orders yet.
Did you check your tracking on the fedex site or the yahoo site?

, although fedex doesn't deliver after 8pm in a given day, your package can still travel some more....
you are the lucky ones. at least your ipads are in AMERICA. most of our ipads haven't even shipped yet (even if we did order before you). moral of the story; GOD HATES US ALL!

Actually 24 hours on the prepared shipping list feels like I'm in the movie groundhog day. Only instead of repeating groundhog day over and over again, I'm 8 years old experiencing the day before christmas over and over again without escape.

I wonder if it has to do with getting more people into the stores so they have lines for the news. It would also make the store managers feel more loved. But seriously, they would have to be more concerned about a good show with the iPad than with the iPhone. Even with the additional preorder capacity, the iPhone 4 was completely sold out and had huge lines.

I would avoid the news tomorrow then....rumor is thousands of ipads are landing at retail stores for a huge secondary push on the retail side!
