Im going to get this new Mini. I'll be trading/selling my 2017 10.5 ipad pro which has shown its age now. It's cool that I can still get $200+ for this old ipad pro.

ipad mini 6 + iphone 13 (or iphone 13 pro) will be my future setup. Downsizing as I find trying to manuever with an iphone 11 pro max clunky.

This is the iPad to beat now. Pair it with a cheap external monitor, BT keyboard and Magic Trackpad and you have a mobile office workhorse. Ordered Purple, my first non-black or white electronic device potentially ever.

Would have preferred 8GB of RAM tho. But still, it'll do.
So will iPad OS support full external monitors through the USB-C port? I guess I've never delved into this, but I'm curious.

I know we're talking about iPads here but I'll just use my iPhone in this case... iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB RAM and for my use case I find it sufficient and the only time my apps reload is when I don't use the phone for a prolonged period of time and leave it on standby...

Installed RAM will be a factor but it still depends on how demanding are the apps being used... If the device is just used for social network apps/music then 3GB RAM should be sufficient... But if the use case is for demanding games or productivity apps [like Photoshop or something similar] then installed RAM may need to be at least 4GB or higher...

One thing I don’t see mentioned anywhere is that the new iPad Mini does not have ProMotion. That is a dealbreaker for me. So lower screen refresh rate compared to the Pro models that have it. The Mini does have higher ppi though at 326 I believe vs. 264 for the other iPads.

It would be cool if the iPad mini had an option to use it for CarPlay.

I'm not an ipad person, but for me the mini was the highlight of the event.
Now it's a very compelling product.

The normal ipad, while very cheap, now has a very outdated look.
