iTunes match and Google Music comparison

iTunes Match

Pros: The ability to match any song available in the iTunes store and make it available without having to upload it. This will of course save you time when uploading your library to the cloud and if that’s worth $24.99 a year to you then so be it. iTunes Match plays all of your songs in high-quality 256 kbps AAC; Google Music plays them in whatever format they were downloaded.

Cons: In order to use iTunes Match, you have to pay $25 per year. The number of devices from which you can play your music is limited to 10, and all of those devices must have the iTunes desktop app. If you want to listen on your mobile device, it has to run iOS.

Google Music

Pros: In order to use Google Music, you don't pay anything. There is no limit to the number of devices you can listen on. If you want to listen on your mobile device, you can download any of the free Google Music apps in app store. If you want to listen to Google Music on a mobile browser, all you need is a web browser, even on desktops. Most mobile devices nowadays have web browsers.

Cons: Google Music takes days to upload a music library; iTunes Match takes minutes. Google Music plays songs in whatever format they were downloaded not in HQ like iTunes Match. I don´t see this as a problem, but maybe some audiophiles do.
