The only thing I regret is not going 64gb... my Ipad already have 10gb left and I have like 7gb of pictures I need to load. I think I'm going to exchange it for a 64 this week.

Not at all...I have the HTC Rezound with the LTE speeds so I just tether my iPad. Saved money on the iPad and no extra monthly fee.

On launch, I purchased the original iPad with 3G. After almost two years, I just didn't use the cellular data very often.....like almost never. When the family took a trip, I would sometimes purchase data, but for the most part, it is more convienent for me to use my iPhone when I am away from wifi.

Anyway, when I upgraded to the new iPad, I went with the wifi only. 90% of my use is on home wifi. The remainder is at coffee shops, hotels, restaurants, and other business that have free wifi. If I get in a jam, I'll just use my iPhone. Also, if we have a big family vacation planned, I might buy extra data with tethering for my iPhone for one month....but I haven't really need to do that yet.

I initially bought a 16gb Ipad 3 with Verizon LTE. Then I went home did some research, figured out how to root my phone and use wifi tethering.

So the next day I took it back and bought a 32GB Wifi only Ipad. I use tethering from my phone when I am driving to places. It works great because I always have a connection. :)

The Wifi Has GPS. I tested it. in the middle of the park. It found my location.

Nope wifi model does not have gps... The iPad (wi-fi model) can give you a location with wi-fi around you, but if there's no wifi signal around you, you will not get any location.

I got the lte model, I have a 10gb data plan on my iPhone and pay 10$ extra to use the same pool of data on the ipad on Rogers. Who wouldn't pay 10$ to use the same data as their phone? I don't wanna waist my phone's battery just to surf on my iPad... I like when my devices don't need to rely on other devices to properly work. I mean when I show it to people the first thing they ask me is, his it the new iPad ?, I answer yes, second question does it have Internet ? I answer yes it does, then they all start drooling on it. And with lte that's faster than most home wifi they just love it! Streamed a couple trailers in full 1080p, on lte no waiting no buffering no lag it just worked :) They all say I have to buy one of these with Internet is too cool!!

Nope. My carrier allows free hotspot tethering for any plans with >1GB data :D Not to mention LTE on my carrier of choice is suspiciously missing from my city, so I'd be using 3G if I did. With a 6GB plan on my iPhone and free tethering, I couldn't be happier. (I also mostly use it at home with my Wi-Fi network anyway, so no loss there really.)

6gb plan? Isn't that spending more every month anyways?

To be honest, so far there have been a couple times where I found myself thinking "3g would be pretty swell right now" (notably, sitting in my car having arrived on campus too early for class and wanting to do a little web surfing).....but only for a moment before I pulled out my phone and accomplished the task no problem. Would it be NICE to have 4g/3g? Sure....But would I pay the extra $130 plus the actual cost of the data plan? (especially considering my phone has an unlimited plan and goes with me to more places than the ipad does)....Nah.

If I showed my friends the new iPad and their first question was if it had internet then I would have to get new friends.

I travel a lot and having 3G data is what makes the iPad so awesome for travel. When I land somewhere, I buy a pre-paid data SIM at the airport, plug it in and I'm good to go with GPS, maps and guides.

My first iPad was Wi-Fi only. It wasn't a big deal that often but I did end up with a Verizon LTE hotspot about a year ago. That was very useful and paved the way for an LTE iPad this go-around.

Worst case, you can do the same thing if you have regrets. It's not ideal but not terrible either. Once I got the new iPad all I had to do was trim the SIMM card and pop it in.

None. We get tethering in the UK on most iPhone plans, and I have a mifi too. No need for a third cellular data connection!

Not quite, since I was getting this with my iPhone way before I purchased my iPad (since the 3G S actually). Since Rogers allows free tethering, I opted not to get an LTE iPad.

My last 2 iPads were Wifi only and I didn't regret it at all... I got LTE model this time around because of free tether and LTE. Was dying to try it out.

Now that I have it I like it... but I've come to realize that short of checking webpages, this forum and email I don't use it for much.

I'm probably going to either cut the service for the next 5 months and then reactivate it for a month every 5 just to keep my account alive or since I still have 25 days or so from being a Best Buy Silver Reward Zone user, I may exchange it for a wifi one... still deciding though.

The biggest difference now in my life from my first 2 iPads to now is I no longer have a free tether, unlimited data phone. Just a 200mb per month iPhone that I don't want to spend 50 a month extra to tether with.

I pre-ordered the 64gb wifi only version, but changed my mind on release day and decided to go with 64gb Verizon LTE. Luckily I was able to just walk into a nearby Apple Store on release day and picked one up fairly easily (15 mins wait in line at most).

No regrets. Saved the money on the physical hardware plus monthly fees. That combined with the fact that I already have 5 GB per month of 4G tetherable data on my tmobile Samsung galaxy s ii. Great combination. And there is open wifi everywhere in NYC.

No regrets at all - LTE would not be useful to me, especially with a data cap. Now if it was unlimited, maybe I would reconsider

Yeah... not streaming Netflix to my iPad while out and about makes having LTE a bit of redundant feature. Yeah I can check email but I want to be able to do anything I want, not limit myself.

No regrets here I'm constantly around a wifi signal. Personally I would much rather a larger storage space than 3g/LTE for the price.

I have had the same 16 GB Wi-Fi model for the iPad and IPad 2. I did the same thing with the 3rd gen iPad and I do admit I kind of wish now that I would've gotten the 4G model. There've been a few times that even though I have mywi available for my iPhone I do wish that I had that 4G speed available to me. I have a feeling that next year will be the first time I wind up getting a model with the network capability.
