I almost took my 64 black wifi back but decided to stay with wifi only.
I have AT&T unlimited grandfathered on my iPhone and I will wait and see what happens with the iPhone 5. It would be something that would be nice to have but I'm sure I would rarely use it. I'm tired of being nickel and dimed by att so I'm going to let the dust settle and see how it plays out between verizon and AT&T.

My iPad 2 was wifi only and I sometimes regretted it, so this time I got the 4g version of the new iPad. Unlike most people on this planet, I don't have a cell phone.

I did regret getting the Wi-Fi iPad. That is why I Exchanged it for a Verizon model a few days ago. When Verizon introduces family data plans, I will definitely be taking advantage of that.

Sure, I am around Wi-Fi most of the time. But this way when I go to a location like a library or even a coffee shop, I can use my own secure 4G connection rather then public Wi-Fi that may or may not have security breaches, and certainly will not be as fast as LTE.

completely agree

No.

The wifi version I think is a better deal if you have a phone that is already tethered and/or you are always near wifi.

Why play the extra $130 to have THE OPTION of using 4G. I'm happy with my choice.

I'm surrounded by wifi, so I'm happy with my choice.

If I really need the internet on the train ride home, I have my iPhone 4s.

Exchanged my wifi version for VZW LTE and couldn't be happier. Having Internet access sitting in my car drinking my coffee thats as fast (if not faster) as my home connection is a great luxury and well worth the added expense.

Yes- swapped it for a 64GB-4G model. I have an unlimited data plan for iPad (signed up for an iPhone contract and this was a bonus- it's just another sim card so technically I can use it on any device) for just US$6.5 per month and I realized how stupid it would be to not use it, even if it is only HSPA and not 4G :p

The GPS comes in handy too.

I never really took my gen 1 outside, so I didn't see the point in spending more money for an LTE model, besides 4g is US only at the minute. And I have my iPhone for that...

I have a wifi iPad 2 (which is now my wife's), and there have been countless times where I wished I had a data plan on it...especially during my commute. I am now eagerly awaiting for my 4G/LTE iPad to arrive.

As many have said, though, it's all subjective. If you have a hotspot already of any sort, or you live on a college campus with wifi everywhere, it's not as big of a deal.

Nope. I tether my iphone to it if I need access when I'm not near wifi. Also, I do not like the black plastic that covers the antennas on the iPad. Looks cheesy to me. I like the solid aluminum look.

Hell no! Not when I'm able to tether my rooted Galaxy nexus LTE hotspot without paying one cent. And I have unlimited data. I will always have my phone and its as simple as flipping a toggle. I love the iPad but I also love my Android phones. Best of both worlds. I'm not one of these one sided pricks who pick sides.

The reasons I got a 4G iPad is because I get better wifi reception with the 4G model and for resale purposes.
