Remove an Apple TV from Remote in Control Center?

I did a factory reset on an older Apple TV, but it still shows up in the drop-down of Apple TVs from “Choose a TV” in the remote function in Control Center. Is there a way to remove this?

Remove it from your iCloud account.

I verified that I had removed it from my account (and Find My) before the factory reset.

Maybe it takes a while for the iCloud account to fully update. They have had issues lately with iCloud.
