Do people really care about thin bezels? I'm cool with large bezels. I'd much rather have an easy-on-the-eyes display technology (i.e. filter blue light, no PWM, etc.), stable software, and physical buttons that I can access without having to look at the device.

Yes, usability takes a hit with thinner bezels. On my iPhone 13 Pro, I'm constantly wondering why my gestures are acting strange, only to realize that my palm is ever-so-close to the screen, it's registering as a touch, causing a multi-touch gesture.

Thinner bezels are more form, less function. Fact.

Going bigger means more clearer content viewing, as well as longer battery life. I know you prefer small phones, and I completely understand the benefit of going smaller. Unfortunately the market prefers big over small, and like it or not the audience who wants smaller phones is pretty small (pun intended)

That's not to say it's gonna be gone forever. While it sucks the iPhone 15 won't have a Mini form, the iPhone 13 Mini is still available and they could very well make a future generation of iPhone a Mini once the 13 Mini is discontinued

You know how you can tell who has an iPhone mini? just wait a few minutes and they’ll tell you.

And we agree with you, the general consensus in todays society seems to like it big, rather than small. Until Apple can come out with a scrollable, foldable, or shape shifting phone, they will have to keep making large devices for everyone that likes them big. Personally I’d like my iPhone 15 ultra to have a 7” display with no bezel at all.

Life changing.

Jokes aside, doesn't the Dynamic Island look a touch smaller on the newer one?

Edit: Yep, I did an inverted overlay of the older one over the newer one. Their perspectives and distance from the camera seem pretty close in the photo, so I would say this is accurate. Now as to whether or not this is true to what will happen, I have no idea. But if this mockup is to be believed, the Dynamic Island will be shrinking a bit, especially in width. Nothing crazy, but still nice to see it.
Why does this Dynamic Island look like a 'Spying Island", LOL? 🕵️‍♂️

6'1 is plenty for me so I don't see me going any bigger than an iPhone Pro

Something tells me that this will be the best iPhone yet.
And "we think you're going to love it" ;)

And there will be rumors of some pseudo-plausible catalyst for shortages going into launch. So you better get ordering ASAP so you might be able to get one.

And due to "inflation", "supply chain", "covid", "<make up something>" prices will only be going up by XX% this year.

We know the drill.

Physics. There's a reason millions of years of evolution have resulted in round eyeballs, not flat discs. Because there needs to be a focal length. Light travels in a path.
Sure but they could flush the body with the bump and increase battery capacity as a consequence. It'd be marginally heavier but eh. That's what happens when you increase battery capacity right now.

Maybe because….
